its a shitty clone of ms paint.
it was started like 9 years ago and it still doesnt have all the functionality.
i think the zoom button doesnt work.

Xpaint is horrible.
Not appearance-wise. It's built to use the mouse exclusively - you can't use keyboard, for example, to choose pencil or brush.

No. Back when I had to use Paint on Linux, I just ran mspaintxp through Wine. and it worked just fine.
