if you aren't willing to quit gaming, you should at least segment things. You can dual boot but the better way is to separate your gaming machine and the machine you do everything else on. It doesn't buy you nearly as much if you aren't worried about physical theft of the machine though.

What's the point of "going dark" if you're going to use Windows? It still phones home regardless of how many placebo scripts and host block lists you use. Either use a libre OS or don't bother.
