How long until google eventually block everything that isn't google and the sites indexed by google on chrome? I mean, the written is on the wall here:
>constantly forcing AMP down our throats >trying to throw away urls "you don't need urls, just use google search) >making all their sites to not work quite well on anything that isn't google >killing everything
By my calculations google will have become literally the internet by 2027. Brace yourselves, fellows!
You mean we get rid of the normies ? Count me in user
Matthew Rogers
Uhh, never? Google will never disable the internet for you, they will just track you every step of the way
Ryder Fisher
Consumer power used to mean something, now we are all fucked
Easton Sanchez
Just stop using their shit and you'll be fine. It's like stopping watching porn. It's difficult at first, but when you make it you become enlightened.
Liam Nguyen
Install Palemoon
Jack Sanchez
Nobody uses FTP anymore, and much less through a browser.
Camden Williams
Keep pretending you've used a web browsing for FTP
Lincoln Jackson
>won't support FTP on one hand, my immediate response to seeing this is "I don't like it" on the other hand, trying to use FTP through a browser is fucking AIDS and every FTP server I've seen recently also serves files and directory listings over HTTP
Christopher Ross
Normies want the walled garden curated experience, that's why shit like spotify is so popular, no one wants to dig their own things anymore
Adam Roberts
Less than a decade.
Julian Williams
what do you use then
Adrian Bell
Good. Unencrypted, unathenticated shit protocols like FTP should be killed off ASAP.
Adrian Wood
https, sftp, literally anything else
Sebastian Thompson
HTTP is a shit protocol for downloading large volumes of data. Rsync would work, but no services support it. HTTP is not an alternative to FTP.
Andrew Campbell
> won't support ftp anymore they've never really supported ftp, just tolerated it. ftp support in all browsers has been pretty embarrassing but chrome put in the least amount of effort (none whatsoever). >By my calculations google will have become literally the internet by 2027 myself and many others have been warning dumb retards for years that this would happen.. a censored and cucked version of the internet for plebs. but who am i kidding? it's already happening. unfortunately for google, they don't own the internet. all of their services could disappear tomorrow and the internet will still function fine like google never existed. sure, absolutely fucking retarded website developers relying on google's services for the mundane of tasks (such as getting fonts!) will have to work on their steaming piles of shit and make things locally hosted, but that's the worst of it.
Michael Parker
> ftp > unauthenticated > what is ssl? shut the fuck up, you clueless fucking moron.
James Ortiz
ftps is a meme used by literally nobody
Brody Gutierrez
If you want to serve up files on the internet just use magnet links.
Based. I hope they will also block all html pages that have no JavaScript or CSS. Also if they have it they should block them if they are less than 10MB in size and don’t contain libraries that ping to google servers full of juicy telemetry
Adrian Perez
were you employed at equifax?
Jackson Watson
This. If your need FTP, Filezilla exist. And many FTP block http requests because they only accept login
Jack Perez
False. Ever downloaded a centos image? It's served over ftp
Zachary Butler
This is just a glimpse of the hell you choose by installing chrom*, vivaldi, brave, ungoogled chromium, or whatever else chromium bullshit facelifts get shilled here.
I guess they changed it in the last year. I remember I had to download via ftp
Brayden Nelson
No, install IceCat.
Jason Scott
Don't like it, don't use it. It's a free country retard
Jason Martin
still using opera, its still the best browser and the only browser with a non-laggy ui, for 2 decades now
Luke Myers
Maybe check before posting? Took me 20 seconds.
In my opinion, the best way to download images is torrent, if available. Most of the official torrents include webseeds, so it's HTTP and peers. Gotta go fast.
