What is Jow Forums's VPN of choice?

For me, it's pic related.

OpenVPN

Yeah, same here. I don't care if it's absolute top uncrackable security. As long as it's good enough for torrenting it works for me.

based

Mullvad

14 eyes b r o

What's so bad about it being 14 eyes when there's no merit for them in storing logs?

You picked the worst VPN. Enjoy the teso(bot)net

Ip predator

Azire

got three years of nord for 100 bucks, seemed like a pretty good deal. since then i've learned of some of their asshole-ish business decisions so i'm not sure if i'll re-up when i'm done. i dunno who else i'd pick though, seems like everyone in this business is either an asshole or a scammer, in which case i'd gladly take the asshole

ExpressVPN. Nord dropped my bandwidth to a tenth of what it was. I don't have bandwidth coming out my ass so losing that much wasn't worth it for me.

How do you like azire? They seem to have good practices and the price is appealing.

Only con i can think of is fluctuating speeds which cause buffering when I watch livestreams.

SoftEther VPN

nvpn.net

airvpn.org since 2015

It seems a bit pointless when they are getting your data anyway... waiting for the cryptonet is the only way to go

Which free VPN can be used to torrent?

Bump, need a proper answer from high IQ's.

Airvpn was unironically shilled here for a while, is it good?

Bought a one year subscription from TorVpn. Everytime I need a vpn and try to connect to some server it doesnt work. What kind of scam is this?

I only want to obfuscate traffic from my ISP for purposes like this user:

Attached: proper noun.png (111x65, 1K)

My own

a mix of free accounts from azure, aws, google cloud using vm/web app

Everything you do can be traced back to you, all three of them providers have static IPs which are linked to your name and your home address

using VPN just means that your getting a middle man that encrypt the network between you and the proxy server.
WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT IF SOMEBODY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING EVEN IF ITS NOT GOOGLE WHOS GONNA INSURE THAT YOUR DATA IS SAFE?

signed up for this chinese crap today. Not sure how its gonna turn out. I had to get approved and enter a bunch of information. but it was the only one with a free trial i could find. I removed my CC. Ill let you guys know how it goes. So far I am in Turkey on a residential IP and able to post here so...

For me, it's pic related.

You guys are aware that most of these VPN companies are NSA ran?

>WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT IF SOMEBODY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
They don't. Thats what https is for.

as corrupted as the others
move on guys

>using ShiTTY

So it's not enough that this gets shilled by every youtuber, you have to shill it on Jow Forums too?

ExitLag

>You guys are aware that most of these VPN companies are NSA ran?
Cite your sources.

I don't use vpn because I'm catholic.

Wireguard

reminder that almost all VPN services utilise third-party data centers that log connections. you can use Mullvad or Express or Air or whatever, they all use data centers that are logging connections

personally I'm going to switch to Perfect Privacy because it's run by neo nazis so the chances are they don't want to cooperate with any regulations

enjoy your logs

>do you even read?
what is man in the middle?

explain how a VPN is going to perform mitm on https connections without having the user install a root CA

google for 5 seconds and you'll find this:
derstandard.at/story/1336697911724/kuessel-prozess-perfect-privacy-wegen-verbindungen-zu-rechtsextremisten-im-zwielicht

>"For weeks now, the lawsuit against the neo-Nazi Gottfried Küssel and his co-defendants Felix B. and Wilhelm Christian A. has been causing headlines for re-activating in the sense of the Prohibition Act. The trio is said to be behind the rabid neo-Nazi homepage Alpen-Donau.info.

>Part of the working group

>In the course of the proceedings, it became public that Wilhelm Christian A. is involved in the operation of the VPN provider Perfect Privacy. The company enables its customers to disguise their identity on the Internet and thus to protect their privacy. The company is a federation of individuals from around the world who operate VPN servers and offer their services collaboratively.

>In court, A. stated that he was part of this working group and, among other proxy server supervised - derStandard.at reported.

>Bad light

>After initial media reports, Perfect Privacy published a brief opinion on Thursday. They do not want to "express themselves in detail", but regret that they have been "put in a bad light by reporting". (red, 25.05.2012)"

>2012

you asked for proof and got it fuckface, show me something that contradicts it

>explain how a VPN is going to perform mitm on >https connections without having the user >install a root CA

you buy the service and download a software and you ask how?

>he thinks insulting people adds something to the conversation

you realise you can connect to VPN servers directly using openVPN?

>wireguard
>logs
???

wireguard has no dynamic address management, the VPN provider would have to log both the client IP you're assigned and timestamps to reclaim unused IPs

mullvad claims they delete all this when your subscription runs out, but the fact of the matter is that wireguard has no pros over openvpn when it comes to privacy

>wireguard has no dynamic address management
I doubt anyone's infrastructure here is large enough to require that
>the VPN provider
So, you yourself?
>mullvad
Why would anyone care about traffic relay services?
>privacy
Is not an important factor in virtual networking

I don't use a VPN. I've pirated dozens of terabytes of vidya, anime, and porn and my ISP hasn't batted an eye.

Attached: Huh.png (960x540, 1.17M)

Excuse me, massive-dong-equipped Torguard user passing through.

I'm going to visit your country and live like a king on my paltry salary.

Is this true? Does the Mullvad program install a certificate that can decrypt all my SSL stuff?

>thinking neo-nazis in GERMANY of all places won't be compromised out the asshole

>nu-Jow Forums, everyone
I forgot it's still summer

well tell me

They won't use wireguard because of how it handles IPs so that tells you a lot about their commitment to no logging. They also sponsor 8% of tor exits and clearly have the right mindset for a VPN.

Paying by cash and no email needed makes it more private than many ,I have never use it tho.

Sure but leaving your ip on all their servers from using wireguard even when you aren't connected sure defeats the purpose of all that

Cryptostorm.

So? VPNs weren’t created for privacy. Not understanding a VPNs primary function is why you get idiots like OP that call VPN services VPNs

Can you not @ me, thanks.

>Dude trust me

What about surfshark, it is hosted by cloudflare but... How bad can it be?

they usually wont unless you torrent hollywood shit or billboard-charting music

They seem to check every box but they collect anonymous data which is troubling for a no logs claim. I also didn't know about the cloud flare stuff which can be a cause for concern.

Literally just signed up for Private Internet Access. Never had issues with torrenting or other ISP bullshit but obfuscating my porn and browsing habits sounds like fun.

ExpressVPN
tell me why it's bad
