I use my phone for streaming 100% nowadays, but I cannot deny that the Cowon iAudio D2 I used from 2006 to 2013 was hella comfy. It was a constant companion for me. Maybe I should consider going to a PMP again. Are there any with good battery life (min 10h), 2x (or higher) playback speed for podcasts, Bluetooth headset capabilities and some way of wireless syncing files from Linux and Windows.
Mason Scott
Also, good on-the-fly playlist editing functions and resuming files from where you last played it.
Michael Morris
Looking for one with: >high build quality >good screen >small size
>does porn >has sex with n*gros >has sex with tr*nnys >perfect
Jason Kelly
You don't talk shit about my bitch, fag.
Eli Ross
I said >high build quality
Michael Martinez
>high build quality
Josiah Evans
I was considering the Shanling M2X but watching youtube videos, it took a long time to load album art when you scrolled through. I almost feel like my best option would just be a tiny android phone without a sim card, but they don't really make that.
Hudson Ortiz
Budget: >$400 Looking for: >Touchscreen >No lag when scrolling / loading album art >Not smartphone sized
The hiby r6 would be a winner but jesus that fucking price. I need to find other decent android-based pmp's
Hudson Flores
Hey that's mine! Won't recommend the Riuzu X02 because it has the worst interface I've ever used. Even if it was $1 I wouldn't recommend it. I wish it could get Rockboxed because I really do like its shape and size.
Any decent ones that run off of AA or AAA batteries?
Ryder Ward
no
Jeremiah Thompson
Anything that supports Rockbox. But I haven't tried any of the others chink PMPs. For now I'm using my S9+ which has a lot more power than the cheap players.
Kevin Scott
Would like to add that I can actually power something like Fostex T50RPs with my phone and A3 amp with no problems.
Gabriel Bell
Is it possible to get a good quality PMP that also has DAB radio and not just FM? I think that would be the nail in the coffin for me to not use my phone as I like to listen to BBC Radio 6 sometimes instead of my own music. From searching i've found a few but they seem fairly cheap and from the reviews have software issues amongst other things
Nolan Walker
I love this little mofo, the only complain is that for some reason battery drains faster using the headphone jack than connecting things via BT. I can't wrap my head around why
It's not that strange, the wireless signal doesn't have to be that strong and it's a small amount of data, but driving earbuds/headphones takes some juice
Jonathan Torres
Huh, I always assumed that was the other way around. And its driving a pair a ZSN, so shouldn't be that much.
William Allen
i got a ruizu yesterday, its pretty good for what is is obviously its chink stuff so i can only hope the battery doesnt die by the end of the month the interface is bizzare, left and right act as a back and forward option in the OS, but it seems fine once getting used to it however it has a weird kink where it forgets your library after restarting it, if you click resume everything comes back, kinda odd but not a big deal for me i'll probably do the ipod rockbox stuff eventually, assuming i use the ruizu as much as i think i will but for now its very nice twas only 20 quid
Bro, you should know how is with chinkshit. Its always a gamble
William Cruz
Dear friend down with amelica
Anthony White
so i installed the agptek software but the colors were wrong and it seemed slower so i reinstalled the ruizu one oooooooh well

I was thinking about getting the new Fiio m11 but the price bros
Isaiah Evans
Thoughts on the Fiio Btr3?
Adam Ortiz
M0 crown stopped clicking, Amazon and shamling pointed fingers at each other so I opened it up myself and ducked the touch cable when the screen popped up. Anyone else had this happen? It's still working as DAC for now.
pic related, Sony NW-A45 >Are there any with good battery life (min 10h) up to 45h >2x (or higher) playback speed for podcasts i'm not sure, but it has a "language"-function, you might want to check it out >Bluetooth headset capabilities the best you can get - even aptx HD is supported, so you're futureproof >and some way of wireless syncing files from Linux and Windows. that's a nope. cable required, but it mounts as a file system, so still drag&drop
you can create playlists on it and it has a "bookmark"-system to save your favourites in several lists. it resumes from where you left it, too.
Luke Turner
Shilling the A45 is a bad idea when the A100 is around the corner.
Jace Murphy
>A100 it will probably cost a fortune compared to the A45 and not even sound better. also, rumored to be android-based. it's nice to it being able to use wifi-streaming, but at this point one could just keep using their phones.
Jeremiah Bennett
Sony’s A series has always been dirt cheap so no reason to assume a price hike. And considering that the DMP still uses the Sony OS there’s no reason to assume they’ll suddenly break from it to use Android after releasing all their stuff under the Sony OS. More likely than not it’ll just be a new version of the Sony OS with some sort of wifi function. Knowing Sony’s engineers it won’t even support streaming, just wireless syncing.
Sebastian Phillips
the only thing keeping me back is the proprietary connector
James Ross
All Walkmans come with a WM port to Micro USB adapter.
Liam Edwards
i'm not familiar with sonys plans but with their autism, so i guess you could be right. we'll see. and the A-series is not always that cheap, the A55 is above 300 eurobucks, the A45 is currently 170 on amazon. so if one need a DMP now, i can recommend it as ai said, it's sonys autism. i would prefered a standard usb-connector, too, but it's fine since i only need it to recharge now and then so i don't have to carry it around all the time.
Christian Murphy
$300 is nothing by Sony standards. In any case I would wait a month for the A100’s announcement at the IFA if I were you.
Oliver Clark
Your cables fucked probably
William Robinson
sure, you can get one for 2k, but since most folks here are buying 50 buck chinkshit, the A45 is a pretty great deal for an entry gate audiophile DMP with bluetooth support, high-res-audio and USB-DAP functionality.
Liam Clark
If that’s all you wanted I would more readily recommend the likes of the Shanling M0 than the A45. Sony’s DAPs don’t start getting good until the ZX300, and that’s out of the 4.4 exclusively pretty much.
Jack Sanders
i'm pretty satisfied and since i'm a sonyfag i won't go down the chink rabbit hole.
Noah Hernandez
The reason you buy Sony is because their OS is very stable and the WM1A/1Z are two of the best DAPs in the high end market, with the DMP-Z1 of course being in its own category. You’re only getting one of those two things with the A series and at that point you may as well buy a DAP from one of the decent chink companies like Shanling or A&K’s Activo CT10.
Carter Gutierrez
Is there one that can run a 250 ohm dt770? i have a portable amp but it would be awesome if it didnt require it
Ryder Bennett
Here's a challenge Recommend me a pmp that is >cheap, $30 or less (new/used) >supports rockbox >allows for microsd extension >has good or upgradable battery life >decent-good sound output
I miss my sandisk clip that I had in middle school and I haven't been able to find it around the house since. :(
Jose Smith
my 250ohm 990s are fine from any source i've tried them on
Mason Martinez
Nah Fucking poorfag, you wouldn't get anything decent sub $50
Sebastian Green
>In one meeting, Thanos suggested calling it the Clip as a reference to music clips, and the name stuck. “People said you should be in marketing,” he recalled with a laugh. eetimes.com/document.asp?doc_id=1335028
Drag and drop is honestly unacceptable. I should be able to manage my library, playlists, and encoding on my desktop and have to do nothing but click a "sync" button when my device is plugged in. Musicbee does this for me with both phone and iPod. You should stop managing music slowly like a caveman from 1999.
Ethan Davis
>managing music nigga, i'm like plugging it in once a month if i found something interesting on bandcamp, i don't manage anything.
Michael Miller
>doesnt one click sync playlists >doesnt one click sync album art >doesnt one click sync lossless files and encode them on the fly >has to open up a different folder to copy specific albums of an artist, has to do this for every artist Peasant
Nathaniel Howard
Cheap chinese players? Preferably
Cameron Sanders
Ruizo/agptek
Get the cheapest one you can find
Henry Cruz
>download FLAC from bandcamp >while it's loading, i plug in my DMP, because it's due for recharging anyways >download is done, copy the files in the sd-card >forget about it >unplug it before leaving the house unbearable, how can one live like this?
Robert Gomez
What keyboard is that in your pictures? Looks comfy.
Parker Roberts
>sansa clips were once sub $30
ok retard
James Price
>were Yeah retarded boomer they WERE, inflation bitch
Justin Scott
I'm going to ejaculate gallons onto your feet and toes.
Anthony Nelson
B A S E D
Cooper Johnson
Are there any non-ipod pmps that can support the ipod accessory protocol? Rockbox support is shit, so I'm discounting that.
Colton Baker
The mailman just dropped this off. What am I in for, /pmp/?
Funny, I ordered that one and then checked the thread, and its the one you recommended. Yeah I hope it's good.
Eli Hall
Since you're not mentioning anything about touch it say you should look for something from Sony. Had 4-5 of their devices over the years and never had any issues with them besides going obsolete.
James Ortiz
Dumb question, is the FiiO X1 2nd Gen any good? Does anyone else have it and can give a review?
