okay, so could someone explain to me in their own words, why does 4channel "community" shit on reddit so much?

I know that in the past reddit was a circlejerk of "le epic" memes, but the Internet as a whole is dominated by meme-attention-whoring. So much that memes are a normie thing in a.d. 2019.
The other shit thing about reddit was its one-sidedness when it comes to discussion, with the whole karma system and mods removing "wrong" users. On the other hand, Jow Forums is all about shitting into each others mouth 90% of the time. And it also has stupid set of rules now.
Anons, what are YOUR actual reasons to repeat shit mantras about reddit, other than trying to fit in with the old meme?

The userbase is abhorrent and the site is built around a feedback loop that reinforces the behavior that I despise. It has, as far as I have been aware of it, always been this way.
Jow Forums has been definitely been in decline since I started coming here around a decade ago and likely before that, but it was once good regardless of how much people like to shit around and say it was always awful. It wasn't. We didn't hit Reddit levels of awful until around 2014-2015. If I had to point to the exact moment the site really went to shit it was the first time that "well memed my friend" was posted.

Social justice bullshit didn't have any significant presence on the site until well after 2012 barring maybe /v/ and/or /co/, but I agree that the increase in phoneposters did appear to have a large effect in the decline of post quality. Rather, now that phoneposters make up the majority of the site the majority of posts are awful and I do not believe that this is a coincidence.
