Latest TFB benchmarks shows C++ obliterating the competition yet again

You can quite making those ironic rust threads now

Okay bud, keep thinking that's all that matters.

This benchmark makes no sense.
Compilers/interpreters should be compared, not languages themselves.
What does it mean for a language to be fast, anyway? That's a property of the implementation.

Yes, here's an entirely different algorithm written in another language, that means that language is faster.

Everyone already knows that c/++ is the fastest whats your point doesn't mean c/++ is the best solution for every project Computing power is cheap, time is expensive.

>c/++
Cniles once again hiding behind another language's back and pointing fingers.

actix is based. I saw an article about M$ is using it in one of their web services.

>leaks memory
>B-b-but it's safe!!!!

>segfaults
>leaks memory
>b-b-bu it's better!!!

Fuck C++
I use C++++++++

Any language can leak memory, at least Rust tries to help you prevent it, unlike C/++.

pipe to /dev/null should be even faster for your benchmarks

Unironically, what is the point of RUST?

It's C++ for a dummy dum dum that doesnt know all the standard library, design patterns and programming idioms.

Rust is 10x more difficult to write than C++.

wow another great incentive to use it huh

I'm not telling you to use it. You seem to be desperate to find anything on Rust. What motivates you to do it so relentlessly?

>be me
>just switched to rust

what pills did you get

I would never do such a thing

Literally everything in this post is wrong.

>it's a good thing to have to learn all these thousands of details in order to use a language effectively
>having a language that provides simple and readable methods of achieving goals without sacrificing performance is bad
Cniles never cease to amuse me.

I would disagree. The c++ spec is specifically written with speed in mind, whereas most other languages aren't. So i think it makes perfect sense to say "c++ is faster than java".

Sure, maybe *some* of the speed enhancement just comes from the fact that c++ compiler devs are more talented than say java compiler devs,
but the majority of the speed definitely comes from the fact that the language allows it.

cope

he is literally advocating for not using C you big smelly willy

Who gives a fuck. Computers are powerful enough now where it doesn’t matter.

Spoken like a true webdev.
Hows your electron calculator? Do you know you're responsible for thousands of watts of waste?

>t. webdev

*dilates slowly*

NOOOOO
PLEASE USE RUST AHHHHHHHHHH STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT
