Not just shintel, but Cinebench itself, both R15 (to the point of random variance in the results from the benchmark itself bottlenecking the CPUs) and R20 (2*7742 hits its 256 thread limit, so this benchmark is effectively nearly exhausted).

And again, about 4* performance per shekel, $14k worth of AMD CPUs in a (cheaper) 2-socket MB beating the record set with $40k worth of Intel CPUs in a (niche, expensive AF) 4-socket MB.

Yeah, Intel is screwed right now. Even the most bootfucked IT manager can see it's not profitable to invest in a Intel server CPU right now.

So Zen 2 broke cinebench?

How do they go from being utter shit to this?
And why can't the Radeon division do the same?

>intel trying to compete with amd on moar cores
Fools

too many cores lol

Because AMD and Nvidia a bros. AMD doesn't really want to crush Nvidia, unlike Intel. That's why they're content with making just good enough video cards.

this one is, nvidia release $500 grafix, amd release latest for $400. It's a win win for both. no seriously fuck em both asshole duopoly we need 3rd player on gpu market

intel will enter the gpu market in a year or so

And desktop on 10nm was supposed to be here in 2015 with 7nm in 2017. I'll believe Intel when the GPU is on the store shelves.

And nobody will care

true, but the GPU team is a different team than the CPU team, so there is some hope
you want a 3rd party? this is the third party, you wont have 3Dlabs and Hercules coming back from the dead making mid to high end gpus, the only one who has experience in making gpus for a long time now and has the money to support a large modern solution is Intel, so take it or leave it

The failed team is the manufacturing one or rather management of that team.
Rumor has it that Ice Lake was ready for a long time, but they simply didn't have a way of making the design at the target size. They still can't make it larger than the laptop 4 core.
I'm all for more players competing for a market since us, the consumers, win.

Wait for 10nm+++ bro

>R20 (2*7742 hits its 256 thread limit, so this benchmark is effectively nearly exhausted).

Wait a minute, Cinebench is basically just a standalone wrapped up version of the Cinema4D render engine, does this mean Cinema4D has a 256 thread limit?

Render in action lads
