>try to install manjaro iso on usb stick
well there's your problem

this is your brain on windows

no seriously what the fuck do I do
when I try to format it it;s still like 3mb

You dont have to burn an iso to a usb stick if you want to boot a uefi system, just unpack it on the root of your vfat drive with default windows bullshit.

give us screenshots and go to

use chromebook recover utility to format your USB

>diskpart
>select disk ?
>clean
>diskmgmt.msc
>right click on the unallocated space > new simple volume
>next next next

at least that's what I remember from my wintoddler days

thanks it worked but when I tried to install it again it does the same thing
what the fuck is going on

windows might just report the size wrong bcs it doesnt know the format
try booting the stick

It creates partitions on your USB key which is perfectly normal. The 3MB partition you see is the EFI one, but windows is unable to show you the other ones because it's retarded. Install as is.

>Use Rufus
Use Etcher retard

tried that and it shit itself
god damn it why is it so hard I just want to use linux

your fucked user linus destroyed your pendrive haha

>wanting to use an inferior os to windows
your pc is trying to save you from yourself

I'm trying it now
will report if it works
I'm too stupid to deal with OpenGL on Windows sorry

>RUFUS.

THere's your problem...
Use win32diskimager.

Also if you want to reuse the USB for something else do
>windows key + r
>diskpart
>list disk
>select disk diskthatwaslistedthtatyouwanthere
>clean
>clean
>create partition primary
>format fs=ntfs quick
>assign

Well shit

win32diskimageer works only on .img files

wrong nigger.
It works with everything, so long as it's correctly imaged, almost all modern linux images are hybrid iso's that are meant to be DD'ed to into flash drives...you can select fucking .iso's if you use the dropdown menu to select all files.

I used Rufus to create a Manjaro stick yesterday and had no problems. Just use the newest version and don't change the settings. Are you sure you're using the right iso?

Windows will show the partitions if you actually look for them, it just doesn't mount them.

If you want to use Rufus and get a bootable Manjaro installation USB then choose DD mode not ISO mode. Otherwise it won't boot.
