bought a graphics tablet to draw
didnt do any drawing

Attached: Intuos%20Pro.jpg (1000x632, 122K)

I bought a graphics tablet and actually went through several pen tips, only to realize that i'm absolute shit at drawing.

Wish i had an lcd tablet

Bought a 2080 Ti and a 9900K.

I thought it was something else based on the title...

My refurbished L440 thinkpad just arrived today. It's got an i5 4200m processor, 128gb ssd (regrettably small), 8gb ram and intel hd 4600 graphics. I got it for $140 in a rush to get it before I move country.
Looking up thinkpads on ebay today I see a used one with a better processor, 1tb ssd, better graphics, and 16gb ram for like $50 more but it's being bidded on. Shit like this bothers me greatly. Knowing I could get a better deal.

I bought a wacom cintiq meme a few years back, and I could most likely count the amount times I've actually used it on my fingers and toes.

are you guys my sister?

I bought pic related 4 years ago, definitely mine.

Attached: 0001.jpg (430x430, 14K)

just when i was considering to buy one of these. Seems like I'll not after all.

Same lmao. Downloaded a lot of books watched a fuck ton of videos and guides and shit, practiced for 6 months 24/7 and still couldn't drawn shit. I should've known than was going to happen because I have dyslexia.

Picrel.
Bought when I was stressed out.
I don't even need a webcam.
Same with the Mikrofon.

90% of drawanons have their graphic tablets just sitting in mint condition on their desks as decoration or to be a fashion statement, it's a known fact

Worth it if you're actually going to use it to draw in the long term, but that's hard to gauge if you're new. People will typically quit after the beginner's rush is over, just like how it goes with most hobbies, I guess.

did I get an okay deal?

i usually do hundreds of drawings without changing my nib. should they really wear out that fast? i change it maybe once a year.

well you dont need to get the 350 dollar pro model. the regular models are pretty affordable.

No. OP is just being an ape, carving his pen into the tablet, wondering why his wrist hurt.

osu.ppy.sh
this will take care of your tablet

fell for the ITX meme once. Also had two shitty meme laptops before I found out about Thinkpads.

I bought one.. It was a huion or something not too expensive at all..

Spent an entire evening immersed in drawing my shitty landscape painting while listening to a podcast.

It was so relaxing I think I got my money's worth.. I'll have to dust it off again at some point. Would recommend

lol show us your shit drawings

I bought Wacom Intuos S for handwriting notes. I use Xournal and binded one of the buttons on the tablet to open and minimize it. Very nice scratchpad for a quick math equation or something else. Takes time to get used to it though.

That sounds good. I bought my tablet to write notes in OneNote but by the time I opened it up and found the right page I could have just written it down on paper and scanned it in with my phone

>osu
Gay tier rhythm game

its fun to play and have gorillion songs, and playing with tablet even more fun

I have a Cintiq in front of me right now. Probably put over 3,000 hours on it already, I need to change the screen protector again. It's funny because the first tablet I bought a couple decades ago I used for a week and then it sat in my closet for years.

I had one of these.

I guess if it actually had a screen maybe I'd use it more

Attached: 8601836_sa.jpg (500x423, 32K)

Proof please

What did you buy it for?

To video call my friends from my birthplace.
To have video conferences with my boss from time to time.
But the latter is ghosting me recently, so I don't think we'll be working together.

I recommend mypaint for note taking.

Why not just use a smart phone? Everyone has a smartphone right?

The one I have has a very rough surface and very soft nibs.

I bought a T440P for 316 Euros in ... uhh ... to be honest i've lost the feeling of time because of wageslaving. It must have been about a year ago. I think your deal is just fine, the only thing that sucks is the small SSD. That ebay offer sounds like a scam... then again in Murrica they throw extremely valuable electronics in the trash just because Windows doesn't boot up ...

I once thought I wanted one, but decided not too after I was able to test one in a "professional" (*cough* sex media industry) company as a intern. I could not see what I was drawing because I'm using a fist-grip for writing and drawing and that really made it impossible for me to work with it.

damn it Blizzard, get out of the thread!

>bought a graphics tablet to draw
>didnt do any drawing
Are you me?

show your loomis progress
you read LOOMIS,RIGHT?

I also bought a L440 refurbished from ebay a couple of weeks ago. Change the thermal paste on that thing user, they just don't bother and it'll be probably dust; mine just throttled after 5 seconds of high cpu usage.
All and all it's not a bad deal for the 150€ I paid for.

Buying a generic wireless keyboard + mouse bundle from gearbest, it's simple shit molded. The constant connection drop from literally 70 cm added with changing batteries every 2 weeks made me rage so hard that I broke the damn thing

HP Slate 500
Real piece of shit. Kept the mSSD

I bought a shitty flat keyboard with USB plugs because I thought I could really need that at the time and the ratings on amazon were good. I unpackaged it and tried out the keys, then compared it to my old one and decided that it feels like fucking garbage. I never even plugged it in and I couldn't be arsed to send it back. So now I have an unused "emergency" keyboard that I don't even like stashed away in a box. I should have bought a Cherry keyboard, fuck.

Should have got a 9700k and Vega 64 like me brah

Is OSU the official Jow Forums game?

How can you be a boomer already and not know that you can’t draw? I’ve known since I was 12 that I can’t draw

boomers are delusional. Go to any board, multiple boomers will claim they could take down a gorilla in a one on one fight.

start drawing porn retards

RIP user, you just fucked up big time.

Bought HP ink cartridge printed out like 5 pages and then it dried up after like 3 months.

>spies on its users

actually this is more of a zoomer issue

many of my work colleagues' teenage kids want to be youtube streamers all of a sudden and made their parents pay for wacoms and cameras and adobe software yet they're total shit when it comes to creative work and got like 8 views per clip and their drawings are garbage.
these zoomers are actually convinced you can decide to be creative, kind of like picking up plumbing and get good at it.

You can they just have no talent or work ethic and just want fame rather than to actually get good.

Anyone can learn to draw fairly well if they are willing to put enough time and effort into practicing.

I have the same tablet lmao. Only used it once on paint to test it when I first got it (still have those shitty pics on my hard drive). I'm fucking too lazy I can't bother to draw something. Can you share your guides, books and shit?

Attached: IMG_20190820_134308.jpg (4000x3000, 2.97M)

My current Android phone.

Nah, the nibs last quite long.

Use it as a mouse

Well maybe they should sign up for an art class instead of buying some fancy gadgets made for people that already know how to draw. On second thought, that tablet is probably marketed to people to make them think they'll just be able to draw if they buy it.

>He doesn't play the Jow Forumsentlenan's game, OPSU
Kek

this thread make me not feeling alone.

Attached: IMG_2019080.jpg (3093x2232, 1.14M)

Art classes can go up to the hundreds in costs, are you fucking insane?

>be me
>bought a $30 battery for an old macbook pro
>how bad could it be?
>charged it to 100%
>unplug lets see how we go
>discharges about 1% every 4 minutes
>not too bad
>2 hours later it's at 70%
>close the lid for a bit
>open it up half an hour later, battery is at 4%
>dies less than a minute later

A Cintiq or just an Intuos ?
Either way if you're just thinking about getting into digital art, just pick up one of the cheaper models. As the other user said you don't need the expensive pro model to draw, much less a Cintiq.
TL;DR:
Regular Intuos for just getting started and gauging your interest in using it.
Intuos Pro for when you know you'll make use of it.
Cintiq only if you make a living off using it, or just have a lot of disposable income to spend on a serious hobby.

If you can draw, buy it. If you can't, it won't give you more motivation to learn.

Unironically want to learn how to so that I can charge 200€ per furry pic

Well just get started then.

If she didn't want to, then you are better off without her.

You gotta draw for years to show actual improvement. Before is 2013 and after is 2017. I didn't really follow a lot of guides either other than how to use Flash and animation techniques. What I think is one of the best practices is just drawing a circle the same size over and over again.

Attached: Before&After.jpg (1740x1000, 300K)

Bought this piece of shit back when I was a teen playing on an xbox 360, thinking non-virtual 7.1 surround in a headset wasn't the most stupid shit ever

Attached: tritton-tech_axpro-headset.jpg (494x519, 33K)

Probably the only thing I regret buying and threw it in the trash. Legit couldn't get it to work on my Thinkpad installing many different drivers. I could only get it to connect to a flash drive but I had to shut off the laptop, plug in the usb drive, then turn it on again but still only worked half the time.

Attached: 41H2SmnnHPL.jpg (400x400, 19K)

Gaming headsets with "surround sound" are a complete scam. I had the Plantronics Gamecom 780 and turning on the "Dolby surround sound" only changed the EQ to less shit. It was only till I got redpilled by /hpg/ and Z reviews and got NVX XPT100s that completely blew me away.

Only good thing is that I had to buy a 120hz screen, which is great.

Attached: PureShit.jpg (375x250, 11K)

Virtual surround is a pretty cool thing if actually done properly.

keep going user, it's all about hard work and guts

it is, if you have decent software to tweak it, but more than one driver in each ear is a meme

A laptop
I3
Intel graphics 3000
800 USD in 2012

Bear in mind you can get a good graphics tablet with a display for $200 now, I wouldn't bother with the Intuos Pro at all.

I bought the Intuos 3 version. The mini LCDs on the side now have dead lines of pixels. No wonder they removed the LCD in their next version.

Like what, some chinkshit with a 10" 720p screen?

>soul vs soulless
4 years for that? You should really follow a guide, that's a serious advice bro.

play osu with it

>tritton
man fuck that garbage brand

I said "good". Artist 12, 11.6" screen, 1080p, batteryless pen, etc. Only feature it's missing compared to the entry level Cintiq is tilt, I think. Haven't had a chance to compare it to the current Wacom offerings, but I've used it alongside a last-gen Cintiq 13HD and I couldn't really tell the difference when drawing.

Thank you Clover, very cool.

Attached: xp-pen-artist-12-review.jpg (976x548, 84K)

I mean the kind of surround simulated through software.
I've never heard about more than one driver per ear but that truly does sound like bullshit.

I have that exact one and it just werks in my T500. The only restriction is that it can't boot the system from a flash drive, you need to use a built-in port for that.

I have Debian on it, though, if you're a windows user then yeah, all bets are off.

this, just get started, first pictures WILL look like shit but the point of drawing is learning from mistakes
so draw something the focus on what is wrong and correct it
rinse and repeat
god speed user

if we are on topic of drawing tablets
i have huion new 1060 or something
but what are cheap tablets that allow you to see what you draw on them
ie they are not only a touchpad

Bought one of these and a Galaxy Tab S3 so I could lay down and jerk off on the bed, the base snapped after 4 months.

Attached: 61VZmsraX2L._SL1500_.jpg (1500x1500, 80K)

Attached: vewy kewl.jpg (960x551, 96K)

This is basically as cheap as it gets

thanks user

For all the artlets and hard work deniers itt, look up Volen CK on youtube.

I did the same thing OP
>want to get into drawing
>start learning
>it's boring and I'm shit at it
>tablet collects dust for years
>sell it at a car boot sale for £10

It's better to put that hard work into writing or an instrument desu

The ideas are generally applicable

>had similar one
>use for phone camera to make it still
>on touch of the screen, wobbles like a bobblehead

>the base

Attached: bruh.png (112x112, 18K)

>the base snapped after 4 months
Well I hope you are alright now user.
