The best part of KDE is that it definitively proves that Windows 8/10's UI is god fucking awful, because it goes for all the same design goals and does a far better job.

some people like customizing how things look, hell I just switched to a theme of my own devising which only works with metacity. WORLD FIRST EXCLUSIVE TO MATE, can't get this with KDE or Xfeces.

konqueror is a browser.
Dolphin doesn't allow to delete files completely (not in bin) from context menu without a lot of tinkering and default settings are pretty shit too. I prefer PCManFM.

You can easily enable deleting, though. It takes me like a second.
And Kate has an integrated terminal and vim mode so it's pretty nice in my opinion.

What window switcher do you use? I had to install the extra window switchers to get the traditional ones. Called "small icons" I think.

I run KDE programs without the KDE DE. I just use a JWM WM. I don't need DE fluff.
