Yeah, they only have so much manpower. Although there might be something you can do to improve power usage. Unlike other systems, if the feature hasn't been audited, it isn't going in. Which is why they tend to get features later.

Not really. I tried it and couldn’t even get a simple wm like i3 or dwm working, nor did there appear to be a firewall or sound.
Granted, OpenBSD is still godawful compared to GNU/Linux, but it’s no minix3. Minix3, unless I was doing something very wrong, seems fine for usecases such as the ME or other embedded shit, but that’s pretty much the only thing you can use it for.
Or maybe i’m a brainlet and others can get the pkgsrc packages to compile properly.

It is because of poorly supported idle c-states. If you have a Sandy Bridge, you have C6 deep sleep, but it is not reached with OpenBSD. As a result, your battery blows out. Just turn out linux.
