Vallhalla best gaem

Does wanting a new amp but not having the money counts as falling?

Imagine the faggots that bought the Sendy Aivas.
A Takstar with a few mods measuring almotlst fucking flat. Top kek, 600 USD for that junk
>oh but it probably was measured like shit
Even then, doesn't change how the Aivas never were worth 600 fucking USD

First for SUMMIT FI

did you buy one before the drop ended?

>Sendy Aivas
People who buy this shit are youtube drones

650 modded are legendary, pure bliss

>measuring almost flat
>junk
pick one

I hope you get hired by one of the big headphone makers cause they sure don’t know shit!?

These cans good with any genre out there, especially with pianos and acoustic music! Also they have excitement in their sound!

600 usd is the price for the Aivas. They don't measure flat, at all

wish my headphones were exciting o_0

ecks deeeeeee

i-is summer over or did we finally kill this general?

damn I just saw that on reddit is it good can I buy it in Canada?

I mean, I got it off massdrop and I live in Ontario so
and yeah. it's, for some reason, really good. it does start to break up a little bit if you're listening at really loud volumes (I think that's the plastic rattling a little bit, maybe? dunno) but it's absolutely decent, I'd rate the price at about $70-80 CAD if I didn't know the actual price of it

I want to try headphones with great quality but I have really low budget, are samson sr850 good choice?

no they are not
get koss ksc75

Hey I wanna drive a Ferrari but my budget is really low, how does a Fiero compare?

Yeah they sound good for the price but they're uncomfortable with the pads, also attached cable.
Superlux HD-669 are basically the same but replaceable cable.

Koss KPH30iK might work if you buy a cable extender. 1.2m cable thats not replaceable.

I wanna meet girls but I’m a terrible person .

>what meme have you fallen for

pad rolling, got some vesper pads on the way for the ESP/95X

Attached: ESP95X FR.png (600x419, 18K)

To second that, is wanting to get an amp to use with HD58x count as failing?

Sorry, *falling

Doubt theres any pc mobo being sold that cant push 150ohm
dac/Amps are snake oil.
Now if you want you can spend a 100$ on a volume knob on your desk. Maybe it'll make you feel better.

hey user, what’s on your head?

Attached: 9A18B7FE-9DBB-4B31-A785-CF6F6AA48C90.jpg (4032x3024, 3.1M)

this post smells like poverty

Is "the 58Xs are better than the 6XXs" a meme or are they actually just as good?

Attached: unnamed6.jpg (3024x4032, 1.71M)

My old laptop can't drive my HD650 so I bought a dac/amp. It has optical input too so that's a plus.

Now my current one can easily drive it as it has an ess sabre dac in it but the physical volume knob is too convenient to ignore.

these are

Attached: ifi_elex.jpg (1500x2000, 1.43M)

Actually they appear to be resting on a desk.

Tell me more about those Taskar, user.

Online reviewers told me even the same manufacturers cable with the same measurements can sound different, so I bought 3 and the cable risers to go with them

HD598's, feels bad man. correction, feels good but sounds bad

Attached: 1550259904447.png (307x292, 22K)

Do they exceed the price of your headphones? I've seen $2000+ cables with terminations for the HD6XX.

The only headphones I have had have been entry level mid-range stuff

Edit: 280 pros, I mean.

How about go for the massdrop sennheisers?

>massdrop sennheisers
>can "upgrade" to velour
I might fall for that meme. Thanks for the rec.

How much better is the fiio k3 to the e10k? Because I can get the e10k for just under 50$

I used to only use skullcandy and cheap headphones. I asked here for recommendations and an user suggested the audio technica mx40. i got em and not much to say theyre pretty good. I can hear things much clearer

Attached: animegirl_thumbs_up.png (255x226, 65K)

cool

Not much. Get the E10k.

>some no name manufacturer shows up in RMAF
>it's a chinese planar, with wooden cups and some luxury-esque features
>youtubers start to hype it to no end, even though the thing costs 600 usd
>ffwd to a few months ago
>takstar announces a headphone that looks like a poor man's version of the same headphone
>driver seems to be the same, tuning seems to be different, lesser materials, build quality otherwise seems good
>forum users buy it to mod it
>tune it and add a ton of padding, change pads, put new cables in it
>measurements look better than the more expensive offering
Thing is, the Takstar is 3 times less expensive. Even with mods, this seems like a great headphone for the price. We still need to see how the Thieaudio Phantom will turn out too.

noice

Attached: hmm.jpg (640x640, 28K)

Just wait until they release 582 with the mods integrated and replaceable cable.

So are the TRN V80s with memory foam eartips the way to go? I currently have Sony XB50APs and just want IEMs with similar sounding bass (punchy, full-sounding) but with more detail in the mids and highs as the bass with the Sony IEMs sometimes drowns other sounds out. I absolutely hate V-shaped sound signatures though for some reason.

im a good person and girls like me but theyre all losers

What mods can bring up the base in a open-back planar?
I'm looking into modding my good old HE400s, since i basically wasn't touching anymore. So far, I've EQ'd it and added the Focus pads that a friend lended me, but i think deeper, softer pads would also be nice. Any suggestions in that regard?

Attached: file.png (1889x999, 189K)

leather pads or some type of pad that seals and doesn't leak

acquire stax :)

this but Buy Stax

Is there a system wide spectrum visualizer for windows? Sometimes I'm streming instead of using foobar, and i miss my visdualizations.

Should be able to plug the line out from my fiio e9 to the srm-252s' input, right?

Extremely important since I'll be using them a lot

This is for my phone.

Intended use, wearing everywhere.

pls

Convince me not to just get the Sennheiser 660 S. I guess since I am not at audiophile level, I might not notice the extra quality over the sweet, sweet velour/sheepskin ear pads of the massdrop knockoffs.

I really can't, no.

Daily reminder that digital is objectively superior to analogic, if you use vinyls you deserve a painful, slow death.

I agree

160$ 58x= You wont cry if they break and you can then look at planars/electrostats later as an upgrade path.
The amount you gain by paying more gets really low in audio.

the Elex is actually super resolving and a good headphone

I suppose. I take pretty good care of my stuff, though, I have Sennheisers 280s that I got ages and ages go still going strong with all the original cables and pads and everything. I guess I won't really notice a difference and I can get an amp and nice stand other than my shitty plastic one I got at the container store. Plus velour pads.

Attached: giphy.gif (420x315, 298K)

might as well just get the 600 since it's apparently better and costs way less money

People seem to recommend jds atom these days.
99$ in usa, 180$ in EU.
The headphone being externally amped will sound the same as your phone or pc but the physical volume knob should be handy and you'll have more options how to position the wires.

I have a DAC, that won't make a difference with an amp added?

Some people do comparisons of how much distortion they produce and some amps have less but you wont notice a difference by listening in all likelihood. Youd need some truly awful dac/amp in an old, cheap mobile device for the differences to be noticeable by someone inexperienced.

The main reason is volume knob is convenient or powered monitors can hiss and an optical from pc to dac can eliminate it or you have some absurdly difficult to drive headphones and your phone cant drive it at high enough volume.

Oh. I don't use my phone at all for listening to music, except in my car. It's purely through my desktop, that has a DAC.

A man of exceptional taste.

Thinking of buying JBL Arena 130s, but unsure what amp to get for them. On JBL's website they reccomend 20-125 watts of power for them at 8 ohms. Found a cheapo deal for a 40w 8ohm amp, but worried about clipping. Should I go for it?

Attached: biggu brainu.png (300x316, 29K)

How's pic related? I just order them.

I'm considering selling my HD6xx's, I can barely tell the difference between them and my thinksound iem's in most of the stuff that I actually listen to and they're kind of uncomfortable to wear longterm

£90 is a fair price right? comes with the original box and is in decent condition etc.

Is that you Tom?
