LAN stands for local area network, just saying

Yes looks good, as expected of mpv

I'm more of a Wi-Fi Direct guy

>not using Firewire

So, what's the proper way to connect your monitor to a PC, Jow Forums?

USB-C, unironically

Bluetooth?

Ya

usb

DisplayPort

what the fuck is the difference between displayport and hdmi? they both work just as good for both media consumption and office monkey stuff.

Maybe they mistranslated "terminal"?

HDMI is aimed at home entertainment use.
Displayport is aimed at computer use.

They both do the same job, but each is better optimized for certain scenarios.

Did a piece of entertainment misunderstand technology or did the retards they hire as translators misunderstand Japanese? It's a difficult question to answer with nothing but a screenshot.

i mean it is possible but the bandwidth is really bad using ethernet

it really triggers my autism but i couldn't tell the difference since everything i use is 1080p or less. i still use vga at work.

It's unusual, but possible. There are special kvm over ethernet devices you can buy.

The difference is in things like maximum cable lengths and maximum refresh rates.
Image quality is identical.

As accurate as a shotgun.

VGA, to 1366x768 TN 60Hz screen

The Japanese are unironically shit at tech.
Just pull up that story of the schoolgirl who got in trouble with the police for writing "malicious code", which was just an infinite "OK" popup you need to kill by other means.

Shotguns are pretty accurate use a different analogy

in jap land desktops are basically non existent, hell even laptops are niche unless you play netoge

>Shotguns are pretty accurate
True, they're just not very precise.

Jow Forums sure is dumb for a "tech" board

>not CRT

???

I wish USB implemented a FireWire protocol.

Streaming>Packages when it comes to a lot of things.

BNC with H/V Sync of course.

Matrox, you have been replaced!

yeah, VNC

Just buy a massive flatscreen and connect it to your PC. Best gaming and movie experience.

You could set up VNC and use a shitty android tablet or whatever as a monitor, so technically accurate.

Yes, i've seen this at my school before. This was a common setup back in the days (that anime takes place in the past) especially with unix mainframes. Multiple users connect to the same computer.

It's all just a series of tubes man

>that anime takes place in the past
Lord El-Melloi II Case Files takes place in 2004, 2 months before F/SN.
