Just found out I'm too retarded for software engineering wtf do

Just found out I'm too retarded for software engineering wtf do.
So I completed my 4th year of software engineering and got the second internship on my own. (I got one from the uni before and it went great).

It took me a fucking month to make a vue/Asp.net core app that receives a large file and saves it on disk, which pretty much means I'm a fucking retard (I think), I have until 20th of september to do the rest of the work but I won't be able to.

So what the fuck do I do now? Join the army? Go work somewhere else (where?)
Kill myself?

If you like computers, but your IQ is too low to handle real programming, go for a webdev job.

>So what the fuck do I do now?
post more pics and clips of that girl

Ok, thanks man!

It's Katya Lischina.

Time to go work at a call center, OP.

Why do so many of you guys just post pictures of girls with low quality and heavy filters and makeup to make it look like they come out of anime? You all need help.

>he thinks a uni course is all he needs to become a software dev
How much have you done outside of uni? How much did you even need to do in uni?
The kind of skills you need to develop for a dev role really just come with practice and time, keep at it and you'll probably come out fine.

Well my uni's pretty fucking demanding for a guy like me I have 4 projects at a fucking time each semester and spend a fuck ton of time developing them, while other high iq fuckers just code them 20 times faster.

>How much have you done outside of uni?
Two internships, and this one's pretty heavy, 9 to 6 every week day, all summer.
But I really don't think it's gonna help much. I'm too fucking dumb, it's genetic.

no it's not it's sophiefroste on instagram

>two internships
Fair enough, but like, have you ever written anything for yourself? Just a small personal project for curiosity's sake or to help yourself automate a task? Do you see yourself learning/writing code just because you enjoy it, or because you think it'll be an easy way to make big cash? If it's just the latter, then I wish you the best of luck, since your future probably isn't looking that great.
If you do truly enjoy programming, then again, hard work and focus will pay dividends down the line, no matter how retarded you think you are. It took me a good while for programming concepts to really click in my head, but once it did, I just kept practicing at it and learning more stuff until I could confidently write whatever programs I want.

I haven't writter anything in my free time no, but I do enjoy learning.
>If you do truly enjoy programming, then again, hard work and focus will pay dividends down the line
I sure hope so man, but I think this particular company is gonna give me the boot.
Anyway, these are motivating words, thank you!

>Hiring anything besides a pajeet that works for cents every hour
LMAAAAAAOOOO BROOOOOOO LOOK AT THIS D00D

damn she looks like my ex, hold me g

Also can I ask:
>make a vue/Asp.net core app that receives a large file and saves it on disk
I personally don't have experience with vue/Asp.net, but was it your first time working with these? If so, don't get worked up over spending a lot of time learning how a framework works, that shit's mostly just memorisation and reading docs, you can't really speed that up without speeding yourself up. If your manager expects that you already know how to use it then you might be fucked, though.
I do recommend taking some free time to actually write a program for yourself, no matter how shitty or dumb it is. Seeing your code turn into something actually useful is the best way to motivate yourself to keep learning, and over time you'll find ways to write more and more complex tools, the skills for which can be transferred to pretty much any job.
Keep at it, user.

Just give up on the tech fad and learn a useful trade skill.

>hurr durr webdevs are code monkeys

Did you ever get paid for any code you wrote

you just know that girl lets niggers fuck her ass raw and piss on her mouth

girls like this look cute but often end up being completely insane and insufferable

as for u don't fret, you might be a late bloomer. I used to be a doo-doo but once i got a real job things changed quickly. Learn as much as you can and really work on your skills, you might just find yourself in love with programming.
Remember that people in this industry are mostly dummies and also learning all the time (except me of course, i'm pretty good). Take your time and don't be so harsh on yourself.

>he doesnt realize all women are like that

If that was your first web app, it's not a huge amount of time unless you were grinding away 8hrs a day on it. Most of the first few weeks of webshit will be spent trying to wrap your brain around the absolute fucking nonsense way everything fits together. I spent like two weeks just on getting npm and webpack to work consistently on my first webshit, and I had been writing real software for five years before starting. It's just that nothing makes any sense because the whole webshit platform was designed by a bunch of retards.

>unless you were grinding away 8hrs a day on it
I was.

Okay you might be a little retarded, but you can still be a code monkey and make reasonable money for not much effort.

It's a shame that the system allowed someone like me to get 4 years into college.
I'm in Portugal and it's supposedly the second best college for software engineering.
My average is 14.6/20. But I fucking DIE studying.

>or because you think it'll be an easy way to make big cash

I thought I could go on to study CS because of money. It's not something I really enjoy but again, hwat are my other options? If it's something that I hate anyway might as well make some money… plus maybe I can get into the video game industry? That doesn't sound too bad…
Not OP btw

Don't worry too much, user. Everyone knows interns are retarded, and nothing is expected of them.
And at least you are aware of your retardation, and seem willing to work hard. Just keep showing up and keep grinding.

>4 yr softeng degree
>two internships
>experience in Vue
Honestly shut up, the vast majority of new grad programmers are worse than you

This. Even an idiot can work a webshit code monkey job.

The replies so far have been really helpful.
Was honestly expecting a lot more toxicity.

OP is trying and failing to do web dev

What should I do then?

as long as you can leet code, you can get the FANG jobs

looks like eggman's sister

He was failing to do full stack. He just needs a position where doesn't have to do the whole thing. His other option is IT/sysadmin stuff for even bigger brainlets.

oooh yes ahhhh YES YES YES
OH GODGOD AHHHHH AHHHHHFUCK
AAAHHHHH OOOHIM COOMINGGGIM COOMING OOOOOOOH COOMIING

>t. new, inexperienced worker probably experiencing his first bout of frustration with a problem
literally gotta double down, look at this from a 3rd party perspective and work harder. you can do it.

>Vue and asp

Yeah you are retarded. 60%+ of Greenfield web dev these days is react with a JS/python backend

>tfw dropped out of college
>tfw too insecure to try to enter the industry
>tfw too insecure to try and finish my degree

aren't you guys the durgree meme come to life? I don't feel so bad now, not wasting time and money at college.

those people should unironically die though

keep trying op. You haven't internalized the mentality yet that failure doesn't matter.

You haven't spent enough time in the real work force. Most people are fucking brainlets! Even if they appear to be good at certain things, they're terrible at others. Seriously, it took me 5 years in a real job to realize that most people just put on a brave face and give it a go.

Keep trying and 5 years from now you'll look back on how far you've come.

>Go work somewhere else (where?)
Yes. Learn a trade.
In a lot of places you can still worth with computers and even write programs, like CNC operator.
Hell you might appreciate computers more if you don't have to deal with them all day.

the cnc shit I use has its own programming language, and it's fairly basic shit at that.

I'm just using what they told me I had to use, asshole.

stop shitposting on a child porn distribution site and start learning.

I know, I learned a some CNC and robotics in uni. You can still program, without dealing with
-faggots
-meme.js
-license war
-editor war
-cancerous "koding" languages
-cancerous development practices forced down your throat by fuckwits form the management who didn't write 3 lines of code in their entire lives
