What does it say?

Use a VPN and stop downloading capeshit

Sorry I don't speak smelly sister fucker

Can someone please translate what is written in baguette?

Basically:
>you've been caught
>do it again and we bring you to court

Imagine not using a fucking VPN to torrent.

Is it possible to snake your way out of these things? Do people have to pay these no matter what or could you be like "it wasn't me".

Knew a guy who paid like 3 grand to a studio... Turns out it wasn't even real just a phishing type scam by the torrent file somehow getting his address and mailing him a letter

feels good being a third worlder

Attached: 99aad3d4e5dec3717ced40bc63c5af72.jpg (1099x1195, 479K)

it says he could be fined a maximum of 1500€

Too much? In germany you get a letter pretty much as soon as so torrent anything, with a pay of 800€ or more

Its a business model, there are some firms that seed content in the name of Disney or some shit, and then request your IP from the provider and send letters in the ten thousands

>Vous avez souscrit un abonnement à internet auprès du fournisseur d'accès à internet SFR, vous êtes donc légalement responsable de l'utilisation qui est faite de cet accès
>You're subcribed to the SFR internet service provider, so you are legally responsible of the use of this access

For once

enjoy your 250kb/s

>be american
>ISPs generally don't give a fuck

based American internet

Oh sweetie...

>third worlder
>sachiko pic
are you the chilean faggot who posts CP on threads he doesn't like?

Yeah I wish. When they decided to add Storage Tax because of piracy reasons in my country is when I vowed to never buy any software legally again.

This is what you get for letting your government cuck your people

it's 600kb/s, I remember times when it was 25

where Im from is very very close to the USA, so ISPs here use US servers
I get 60mbs download and about 15 up
no sorry
werks in my country

>swallowing american propaganda for free

rough translation from a k4n4di14n:

It has recently been deduced, by a verbal process, that at 7:42 PM the 19th of july, and the 20th of july at 8:45 am, that one or more works were downloaded through your internet access which violated the author's copyright. These violations may constitute a punishable infraction.

Facts: You are signed up for internet access with SFR, and are thus legally responsible for the utilisation of this access. You already received a warning the 11th of february that illegal downloads were made using your connection. Since then, however, more evidence has come to light through your usage of uTorrent.

Consequences:
If, in spite of these new warnings, your internet connection is used ONCE AGAIN for illegal downloads, you may be pursued and held accountable in front of the police tribunal for (?)negligience. You are in that case risking a maximum fine of 1500/7500 euros. (bunch of bs about why downloading illegal shit w/o consent is bad)

Actions to fix your scenario:
You have to take all required measurements to avoid repeating these infractions. You can consult Hadopi's website which offers you solutions for protecting your internet access from unauthorized use, and how and why to uninstall your peer-to-peer software (utorrent etc). You are also allowed to ask for observations or (?)guidance/tips by contacting Hadopi(which I think is some french internet monitoring org)

I've got 200Mb/s

Are you fucking retarded? This shit started in the US.

what if you use p2p stuff for legal downloads
I know some people allow their mods and games (ie katawa shoujo) to be downloaded via torrent
how can I make my ISP feel HORRIBLE for telling me to stop? I want to cause a scene

imagine living in a place so cucked that torrenting is illegal

they won't tell you to stop if you download legal material

>Your connection was used (totally not by you) to download stuff with (You)Torrent for the second time
>We're pro haxxors and we have your IP lol.
>If you get caught again you get fined €1500 max for security neglect.
>Downloading is bad cause how dem artists get paid?
>Also you can get porn so it's bad.
>Make sure you configure your router properly so this doesn't happen again.

Meanwhile based UK isps told the government it’d be too expensive to monitor people.

>one or more works were downloaded through your internet access which violated the author's copyright
what did you download op?

If your country is trying to cuck you so badly, why aren't you using a VPN so they can fuck right off?

Sorry I dont read EU

you don't read at all

so who is the smelly one, OP or the sister?

>uTorrent
should have used a proper client forcing encryption.

Use fucking VPN, for west european wages it costs literally pennies. Don't be lazy.

>Not using a $5 a month seedbox and transferring the files to your computer through SFTP.

No it didnt. All they do is forward any letters they got but ISPs dont make threats to you or even hand over information unless lawyers get involved. Not even comcast gives a shit about piracy, they must have sent me half a dozen letters letting me know some faggots weren't happy with one their customers was torrenting and they didn't do a thing

You can torrent obscure shit like anime (atleast still) in Germany.

Lol I literally just got my third DMCA infringement notice from Comcast just two mins ago, the browser pop up that doesn't go away.

The weird thing is, it wouldn't let me screen it on my phone. So I didn't sign in and am browsing on the computer waiting for it to happen again.

that shit smart

Therein lies the issue. Geniuses keep downloading brand-new/massively-popular/big-name movies & music & software, and then wonder why they get these letters forwarded to them.
I have gotten ONE letter sent to my house in over fifteen years of torrenting, and that was from an idiot roommate downloading Family Guy years ago.
It's absurdly easy to stay under the radar.

>Getting a letter from Hadopi
>twice
You fucking did it on purpose

Is qbitorrent safe?

I've downloaded almost 2TB recently and verizon has not said a single thing

Attached: Torrents.png (348x123, 3K)

You can use Tribler's anonymous downloading to avoid DMCA, it's good enough for public torrents.
tribler.org/

Torrenting without VPN is inherently unsafe in cucked countries. You are on Jow Forums, you should know how torrenting works.

you wont get these messages for downloading legal torrents

FIOS here, same. Comcast is a massive media conglomerate, though..they own a ton of cable and OTA broadcast networks, as well as film studios. They don't play that shit. The one letter I got was when I had their Xfinity service.
>second-largest broadcast & cable-tv company in the world
>largest pay-TV company in the world
>largest cable TV company in the world
>largest home ISP in the U.S.
They don't play that shit.

why even torrent? It's 2019, ddl that shit.

from bloody where?

They can just ignore it. There's like max 10 guys/year actually fined. Hadopi is more or less placebo.

10 years ago the MPAA and RIAA was suing the fuck out of college students for sharing mp3s and videos. It's not common anymore but yeah, if started in America

Verizon is truly the best American ISP besides maybe shit like local fiber.

>mfw I torrent terabytes of movies every month and never get a single letter
Such is the life of a third worlder.

The use of garbage software like uTorrent has been shown to be directly responsible for a mean IQ drop across all of society.

Depends on what you want. As far as episodic tv/movies, nice try, FBI.
You can find damn-near anything you want just by searching for the release-tag/group-name..the group I download from does great x265 re-encodes of most of my favorites. TorrentGalaxy isn't bad, for example, but they added that shitty watermark intro at the beginning of all their releases, so I just wait a day for other groups now.
Give me an example of stuff you like. I can probably link you to a good site.

What do you torrent considering that almost no German content is available?

m talking video games not movies/tv

>vidya
Dammnit, user..I was just starting to like you.
Just kidding.. (I didn't like you from the start) dodi-repacks.site/

I'm not German, user, so I can't help you there...wish I could..I was referring more to British and American content.

Nice, I'm from Italy dear french faggot.
I've been torrenting from 2006 without a vpn and no one has ever said anything.
I've been watchin movies online from pirate website, I got the IPTV and live my life in illegality like most of my southern friends.
The funniest thing is that cops also do torrent and do use illegal services

>Storage Tax
>Oi! You gots a loicinse for that hard drive m8?
what a shithole

I need to know more. What insane region of the world applies this tax?

"someone squatted on my network"
It's not worth their time to go past that unless you're a literal warez distributor.

So you're pretty much forced to use VPNs if you live in a first world country?

Just be careful not to store certain PDF's!

Is that a smelly fucker of sisters or a fucker of smelly sisters?

ISPs and Gooberment really don't give a fuck here.
I torrent probably 3-4TB a month and have never got DMCAs or warnings from my ISP

Nigger the only thing you have to do to avoid getting bothered by HADOPI is avoid anything on their lists, which usually simply involves not torrenting any music (at-least nothing poular or from a big label), not torrenting french dubbed movies / TV series and that's pretty much it and anything that's actually made in france.
They don't give a flying fuck about games old or new.
They don't give a fuck about anime unless it's that one shitty simulcast service, (and even then never got any trouble for just getting the english subbed releases of their catalog)
And as far as I can tell if you get the english / original dub of anything not french they'll never give a fuck.

Private trackers alone won't help you, that's the one time I I got an email.
I'd advise you just get a 2 year sub to the cheapest VPN provider with wireguard you can find and never go off it, they reset your warning counter after a year but they'll keep your file open for 20 months (or something like that) so if you go back to being a retard in those 8 months you might get hit by something worse than just a warning.

I have comcast and have literally never had a problem

Ha. Dopey.

>tribler
Oh, user. I see what you did there.

i can't read this shit it's not in english
i don't get it, the letters are all in english

Just use a private tracker or a VPN + proxy ya fucking moron

>downloading torrent without a VPN
literally kill yourself my man.

Dont even need a vpn, just a private tracker or a $1 proxy so your swarm ip isnt your real ip. People this dumb shouldnt be allowed to torrent.

I got those both when i lived in Poland and Ireland. Just ignore it.

>lived in Poland and Ireland
i imagine you being poor and having a very lackluster personal hygiene.

>private trackers ... the one time I got an email
What tracker was that?

good to know, I just got into AR and was wary about going over a certain cap per month that might annoy my ISP.

Wrong on both accounts my good sir, quite wrong. Especially on the second one, as I take at least 2 showers a day, often 3, since every other day I go running in the evenings.

Burger here. My ISP basically tells me "stop bein gbad pls lol". Pic related.

Do the French have a public library system that loans out optical media? Seems trivial to borrow one and then rip the contents via MakeMKV
