>all this shit over some china batteries
You know this could be a great excuse (or reason) for Apple to move their battery manufacturing back to USA. Or I dont know, trusted allied nations such as Taiwan or Japan.

I was wondering how long till this issue became bigger a problem when I was shopping for replacement Macbook batteries a few months ago (more like a year at this point). So many obviously shitty quality Chink knockoffs just for a 2014 Macbook Pro 15.
Given what I experienced with the shit led flashlights and the china 18650 batteries inside it was a matter of time before the problem became more widespread and started hitting laptops and other portable electronics.

mac users are rich. they can buy new laptop after they arrive at destination.

This is what happens when you don't allow your batteries to be removed by default.
