Coming from webdev, I want to learn Rust, but the practical way. Ideas for a project?

No one actually makes software with Rust. They just throw tantrums about other languages on the internet.

If anything I see cniles seethe over the mere mention of Rust in this board.

If webdev is what you know then maybe you can try it through webassembly

I know how to design distributed systems in a matter of minutes. I know how to write code that other people can understand just by looking at it.

Please graduate college before you lecture me.

mad and obsessed

Cut your dick first; it's the right of passage for all Rust programmers.

Well yeah we're talking a poser language vs. one that actually has made operating systems.

Don't.
You won't understand it and you won't be able to use it. Learn C first to get a grasp on systems programming and then move to Rust. Rust is a hard language to learn with steep learning curve.

Do a math parser or some simple raytracer, renderer, game server, simple http engine etc.

If you would stop spamming with rust threads that do nothing but compare rust to C maybe the 5% of stubborn C users would stop sperging out together with you.

Get any C++ Bible (Principles and Practice *and then* A tour of C++).

Go through the book writing all the code snippets twice - once in C++, once in Rust.

Profit.

I would call bullshit.

This nigga gets it.

Just go through HtDP and write everything in Rust.

Oh, shi.....
