Use services that promote free speech, and, where possible, E2E Encryption. Replace twitter with gab, Facebook/Instagram with Minds, Disqus with Dissenter, Skype with Wire or Wickr, stuff like that. Some of these replacements don't have very good privacy policies, but if you're using the mainstream ones, it's no worse than those.
