The room service will be probably too overworked to give a fuck but the people who do (irregular) inspections might find it, besides there are always the spergy guests who go through everything.
Cameron Phillips
Dumb idea. All someone else has to do is watch for the source address of incoming traffic to the Pi. The actual value of a VPN is that it essentially tumbles origin and destination addresses of traffic due to the volume of users.
Dominic Thomas
Its probably illegal but you could probably put one in the clock of the room.
Andrew James
That looks like a dude.
Parker Gutierrez
It's a rather big boi, not like the zero. Maybe a park or something is smarter?
I assume I wouldn't be able to port forward it or anything?
Juan Wilson
You're right! What if I connected to a VPN and then reconnected to the hotel pi? That way, my initial connection would be obfusticated by the traffic of the VPN provider, my IP would be safe from the hotel guys, and I can use the PI as an exit node

public place like a park and people might assume it's a bomb since technology is scary.
You could be a full blown autist and build/buy a long range receiver and just set this out in the woods. user if they have your exit node they can just watch all your traffic and assuming you don't use this 24/7 they can eventually catch you, wouldn't it be rather strange if two people seem to search the same sort of things an awful lot, and the one not hiding behind an exit node had previously posted on 4channel.org asking how to set up a device just like the one used as an exit node?
If you're not doing shit that would make the feds mad at you then none of that matters.
>wouldn't it be rather strange if two people seem to search the same sort of things an awful lot
How would they be able to see what if'm searching and looking at if the connection from the PI and the servers I connect to use https?
Dominic Thomas
How the fuck would you get an internet connection out in the woods without paying, though?
Brody Reyes
They can see what server you are accessing, but not the contents.
Jose Lopez
Honestly fuck the haters and just do it for fun Is it practical? Of course not
Benjamin Campbell
I put a raspi in the ceiling of a hotel I worked at and used to fuck with their printers all the time until it was shut down.
Jackson Nelson
user they'll see what servers you're passing ssl back and forth with, they'll also probably be looking around for what machine you've zombied so eventually they'll find the pi.
What retarded shit are you even doing that'd put the feds on your radar? With a big boy receiver, these are expensive to buy and expensive to make, but you know, internet from long distance. Do this though then do a writeup, I want to hear about it.
Jaxson Rivera
3d pig disgusting i would desu
Henry White
But you will need a transmitter, and the transmitter will have to be hidden somewhere with free Internet access.
Xavier Cook
gross fake tits and fat puss desu
Nathaniel Ward
when i babysit housekeeping i dont overlook shit like that. more than likely a guest will find it and either a. steal it or b. freak the fuck out and storm to the front desk and accuse them of putting some kind of scary eavesdropping or spying device in the rooms
Jeremiah Rodriguez
how would your devices communicate assuming both the hotel and your router got their public IP got changed? wouldn't you have to go there?
David Cox
Maybe no-ip?
Carson Gutierrez
The same way that the mailman can see who you're getting mail from and sending mail to despite the fact that they legally can't open the envelope.
Joseph Ortiz
fat puss is best puss

Brainlet here, is there any way to do something like this and get the speed of the place you do it then? For example, my local high school has symmetric gigabit internet. If I set up a pi or a long rage receiver here with ethernet and hid it somewhere, and then used my docsis 3.1 1 gig down, 30 mbps up connection at home through the pi or the long range receiver, would I be able to get the 1 gig upload speed somehow? Or am I still limited by the docsis cable? I think in the pi situation I'm of course still limited, but the long range receiver I don't think so. I imagine that would be much harder to hide than a Pi however. The High School is only like 1.2 km (.75mi) from my house...

Former hotel worker here. Guest wifi devices need to re-authenticate every day and the password changes with each guest. Your plan won't work, sorry m80

Ive done a fair bit of traveling over the last few years all in the US. Every single Hotel I go to Jow Forums is sometimes banned but most of the time you can get on but the Hotel has been banned and its always for the same reason because some fag posted CP. Every fucking time.
Hotel wifi also seems to be getting worse in that many are now charging for any speed over 1.5mbps and sometimes its less than that.
Adrian Morris
She's literally obese, attractive-range, but obese. Sizing a bra right, cutting out the pumpkin-spice latte and Taco Bell would've did more good for her back than $15000 in surgery to fuck up some nice tits.
Cameron Wright
>back issues literally a meme
Nathaniel Carter
It's mostly because of fatties that have no muscle at all from a total lack of physical activity, and poorly fitting bras. It exists, but it's easily treatable without surgery.
Elijah Parker
These days the majority of girls look like a dude

And yet some people say evolution doesn't exist. Women with slightly male features i.e. sharp angles, strong cheekbones, accentuated chin, etc. are peak aesthetic.
Gavin Jones
If you want to steal traffic just get a pineapple
Austin Howard
yeah/ you know if you get an external usb charger you can use it you just need to connect
Jack Gutierrez
No, you can't because you need to portforward.
John Rodriguez
This is abomination.

>Is it practical to really stick a raspberry pi a hotel somewhere and use it as a vpn at home? Not really a good idea, unless you do certain stuff to insure your privacy and anonymity. There are better uses though. IT in hotels are idiots, they won't find it if you hide it well.
