I want a closed back planar headphone. I’m thinking between the Oppo PM3 or Audeze Mobius. Does anyone have an experience with either?
try the niggertron 6xx;s
>closed back
so what is it user, that you’re listening to?
biodynalate
How well does a ahd 5000 perform compared to a ahd 5200? I've seen I can get both used for relatively cheap, so they got me interested.
Are those closed aeon flows? I've tried the open back version and if the closed is anything like the opens then you have good taste.
Could you please stop being a pederast and just be a regular wholesome queer who receives magical powers from bad writers?
Is Nuraphone the most narcissistic headphone?
OK guys I accidentally opened a flac using foobar2000 that i hadn't added to foobar200 by clicking on it while it was just on my desktop, now my library is empty, do i have to re add in all my music now or is there a way to put it back to how it was?
You're only allowed to have one of these. Pick one.

Would say, lot of bass, but since i want to do gaming too, neutral looks to fit better ?
>intended use
Listen music in transport, street, home, and at the office mostly from spotify on phone / computer. Some gaming at home. Phone call.
What i am looking for is a nice Bluetooth headphone, with good battery life, multi-point Bluetooth, and not bad for gayming (with a wire eventually, i don't really care at home).
Since i am going to wear it in public, sober or nice looking stuff. Not ugly gayming gear. Black is good.
Forget that i don't want to have to use any bullshit app.
Save and git commit your playlist next time.
Those we’re my opens, these are my closed. I agree they are both pretty easy to like.
Can't blame me for not knowing that simply opening a file would fucking reset my library. good thing it was only like 7 albums.
This belongs bot hin /iemg/ and /hpg/, so imma ask this here as well.
Currently have Tin T2s and HD58X's
Trying to decide if I should get better IEMs for on the go, or an amp for my HD58X's?
I'm thinking ikko oh1's for the IEMs or the JDS Atom for the amp. What do you think would be a better buy for what I already have? Both end up costing about the same after import fees.
Also is the Ikko oh1 a deeper fit than the T2s? I hate how shallow the t2s are.
L700 are easiest to get good to great sound ALMOST regardless of associated gear. Otherwise, jury is still out until I build my diy T2...but, in the meantime and when the stars align just right the 009’s have been the best headphone based listening experiences I’ve ever heard/owned.
You should get cheaper ones for when not home. You can't have nice things around other people.
Because people will steal them? most people don't know how valuable pricier IEMs are, when people see a set of wired earphones they assume cheap, i would be more likely to get robbed if i wore ripoff earpods...
People will break your shit.
Your logic is flawed
How? If i let them use them? most people i know only want to use them if i mention how good they are and their usually pretty gentle once they understand the price attached, and honestly with it's metal shell the only thing they could really break is the cable which can be replaced for like $10. I think you just are paranoid a little bit or are around people who don't respect your shit.
Nice. I have the 307, and excellent lambda. The L700 looks attractive, but then I miss out on an omega. The 007 I'm very interested in; the 009 seems great too, but it'd have to be a second hand purchase.
Amp will do nothing for 58x.
thought so, was mainly thinking for future headphones so that when i get better cans i don't also have to buy an amp.
I'm leaning more towards the Ikko oh1s as the audio on my hd58x's has spoiled me a little bit and i wanted something better for on the go anyway.
Define narcissism.
Virtually no dynamic headphones benefit from an amp. If you want to upgrade from the senns, you want koss or stax.
Use oratory EQ if you want increased sound quality. Bonus: it's free, you don't have to burn hundreds of dollars to use it
>
So if i want an audio upgrade I should grab the ikko oh1's unless i wanna save up a shit ton more and get more endgame type headphones?
Yes.
What are some good, under 100€ (eurofag here), Bluetooth headphones I can buy on Amazon?
thx. I'm shit at deciding what to get when it comes to stuff like this. exactly like that one Big Bang Theory ep when Sheldon can't decide what console to get. It's a dangerous combo with audiophile shit.
Any one?
Bump, what closed planars should I get? Or good closed phone in general that has deep clean bass.
The problem is you asked for bluetooth headphones and gave a kinda vague description of what you wanted, If you don't know what sound you want, at least listen music genres or what type of games you will be using these for. Most people here see "bluetooth" and will ignore you.
I love my L700 and wasn’t too impressed by the 007Mk2 I heard at the store. Is the 009 much different?
Ah OK.
I mostly listen to rock like king gizzard or thee oh sees, but I can also listen to musical or electro, jazz, hip hop.
Game where sound is important are quake and csgo. I play mostly fps and mobas. Few solo RPG
monolith m1060c.
I don't know many wireless/bluetooth headphones but if your ok with wired, something like the takstar pro 82 might be good, based off what youve wrote you don't seem to be that obsessed with audio stuff, meaning that you probably wouldn't need something expensive. the Takstar Pro 82s are pretty good for their price.
Awwwwww shiet what about some budget Biodynas my friends???
1st for TRUE END GAME
Thanks a lot, but wireless is a comfort I want.
How are RHA and Optoma? Was looking for alternatives for SoundMagic wireless and saw them being compared to these brands.
Looking for a full setup, headphones plus portable audio player.
Budget is ~300 USD or less.
Headphones can be wired or wireless, but audio player should have bluetooth functionality for my gym earbuds.
Comfort, sound leakage, and sound quality are of roughly equal importance.
I like many genres of music, hope to find nice clarity and separation in the headphones, a nice forward sound without being fatiguing to listen to.
Philips buds from the grocery store and your phone
My shp9500s got snapped in two a while back and I haven't replaced them yet. Any of you underpaid shills recommend a particular ~$50 headphone that actually covers your ears instead of squishing them against your head? Why tf are any headphones circular? ears are more like ovals
Have you ever seen someone out in public wearing full sized, open-eared headphones? I saw a guy wearing big ass AKGs and thought he looked ridiculous. I'll stick to my 7 dollar tx maxx skullcandys thank you very much.
When I was in uni I took a pair of Grados to the library and listened to Metallica while studying.
I know I will be paying that karmic debt at some point in life.
IEMs are way superior for public use anyway
>Unironically wearing skullcandy in public
>Not wearing Fashion-Fi good sounding headphones
I have a pair of M50x. I'm thinking about getting some aftermarket earpads for them.
Any recommendations?

Music, HiFi. I’m not a purist but would love decent quality and good flex on my friends. Got tidal and love it tho
>Got tidal and love it tho
>doesn't even host uncensored tracks
Ah yes. I, too, love hearing when a song contains a swearword. Thinking of the children and all.
you need brainwavz
Will I like studio headphones(takstar pro 82) if I'm going from something like Jabra Revo Wireless which is somewhat of a Beats knockoff?
And will I be able to connect these headphones to my Samsung Galaxy S6 in the same way as the Jabras or do you need some other tools? What is the sound like in comparison to the Jabras?
They look huge. How do they affect sound?
Also, fake and gay leather or velour?
Looking for that user that can teach me how to put normal silicone earbuds on the iSines
I was extremely disappointed by both products (the MDR-7506 and the iSines) but I'll have to test them again, it turns out I didn't have the jack all the way in -_- which caused a lot of distortion.
Denon AH-D5200 or 7200. Looks great, so perfect to flex. You'll want something open for great sound though.
Great choices user
Your phone is good enough unless you're the kind of absolute wanker who uses music to listen to headphones and not the other way around. A dedicated player cannot make bluetooth sound better besides software EQ that can run on any general purpose computer. Look at IEMs that have changeable filters. Anything else will get too grimy.
To be clear I already have bt ears for the gym, I’m only looking for phones for work.
Also I have an old iPhone which has no expandable storage and currently only listening with Spotify which the player would replace.
You could do the needful and set up a server to stream your own files. If I were working in an office right now, I'd bring my ER2XRs for maximum isolation, because I get flustered when cow-orkers do their shout-cackle-chatting.
Answer me you autistic fucks, I know you know the answer to my questions
No. Do you want closure? We're not going to answer in this thread so you can get on with your day now, cutie.
Just keep using Spotify and get a nice pair of cans to use with your phone, your budget is better spent going all in on the headphones than getting a dedicated player nice enough to make a difference anyway.
A headphone is good or it isn't. Why should we care whether you'll find it pleasing?
Need help pad rolling TH-600. Can I just drop in TH-610 pads into them? Also any pads worth looking at?
I already have some HD598s and SR325es, I just need something comfy and not leaky for work.
Well I recently got the wireless version of the M50x: audio-technica.com
They're excellent, would recommend. For 300 bucks you can probably get something even better though.
However I can't tell you how leaky they are as I'm mostly alone at work and there's no one to be bothered by me blasting music at max volume.
I was looking at those, almost pulled the trigger as they’re almost same price as the wired version.
I’m too indecisive, so here I am double checking if there are any other solid recs at a similar price.
IEMs may be the only way to hide your weeb tunes. Most of them come with black olive tips that fit more like the left than right, if you don't like the feeling of actual insertion. I can't stand on-ear smushers, but I don't mind deep insertion much.
fug, I remembered the order wrong. Most fit like the right side
m50x or custom one pros?
My first headphones back in the day and I still like listening to them today sometimes. They aren't the best headphones ever, but they're fun and really good for what you pay for them.
Since biodyna fanboys seem to be around I'd like to bump my question.
You can just drop TH-610 pads and those would be some of the best pads you can put that either dont change the sound sig, or improve it as seen on the TH-900.
The 5000 is using Fostex drivers, they have much greater bass extension but are muddier in the mid section. The 5200 have punch, but offer great clarity and non-sparkly trebble. Its a more refined sound in the 5200, vs the more in your face sound of the 5000
How would any of them compare to a aurvana live! ?
From what I'm getting, the 5000 would be closer to it (although better of course)?
damn user, I didn’t know you were using those headphones...what are they again?
why do these threads and programming threads use shota and loli as clickbait?
>Clickbait
Maybe for you, pedophile
What's so cool about biodynamic drivers from an acoustic point of view?
Isn't planar better technology?
I deed the 5000 would be closer but in that case the TRX00 purple heart or Mahogany would be closer to the Aurvana but better.
While biodynas and other dynamic drivers hold the advantage in efficiency, price to performance ratios and Amp pickiness, if we focus only in Sound characteristics, dynamic driver's bass slam and extension is unmatched in the planar world.
LCD-4 or other flagships might give you better overalls than biodynas at (high) price points, none of them can give you the "Subwoofer on my head" sensation that the TH900 give you.
With the euro going to absolute shit those are absolutely out of my price league new and used I can only find the mahagony one (which looks kinda bad to me)
The ah-d 5000 costs like 250 used and open box 5200 350€.
Just bought the 5200 in open box (full warranty), which I think is an okay price. I chose it over the 5000 simply because I fell in love with the design.
Now we play the waiting game and then finally my T1 gets some competition.
If I'm turbo lucky it gets here by saturday, but most likely I'll have to wait till monday :(
Should ideal headphones have a boosted bass frequency responses as many graphs imply?
You won't regret them user. They are my trusty office companions :)
Come back and post impressions!

I need some headphones to use at the office with either good isolation or noise canceling but I know nothing about what's good. Been thinking about M50x, MSR7 or momentum v2 but I read that the noise cancelling on momentum was shit and the M50x doesn't have any. Can't decide what to do.
I will report back in.
On another note, anybody knows a good and cheap audio switcher? Basically all it needs to do is act as a relais, so I can swap seamlessly between two sound sources. The stuff on amazon looks like it's my price range, but people report loud crackling when switching sources, which wouldn't be ideal to test different DACs and AMPs
Sad, you can't enjoy spectrum sound
If you want ANC, go with Bose.
How does it improve the sound sig?
