Admit it, you only use open sores because you can't afford a Macbook.
Admit it, you only use open sores because you can't afford a Macbook
I can and I do enjoy my work Macbook but I'm not mentally challenged enough to buy Apple hardware, thank you very much Rajesh
POO IN LOO

got this for 460gbp. works absolutely fine so far. screen perfect. did I do well? Mac's are best retina is superb. had Thinkpad x220 but pixels were too big, eyes hurting.
“Used condition, previous liquid damage, cosmetic issues. There is a crack to the screen bezel at the left hinge. The screen has cosmetic marks from the palm rest. Wear marks to sides, small chip by the charge port. Few scratches to base. Battery health is at 86%. Sold with a charger. See pictures for further details.”
my boss uses centOS on his macbook pro
my work uses macbook pros with only windows 10 pro (only windows is allowed on company computers) and they are substandard in build quality
When you go street shitting, do you shit on top of your old shit, or do you have to find a new spot every time?
I genuinely found ios annoying as hell after beeing used to lineage.Never tried a Mac but I'm sure restrictions and compatability with stuff I like to use would drive me insane there to.
I seriously dunno what you want. think pads were fine in the past; for everyday computing we browsing, shitposting, thare is nothing better than MacBook Pro. I got it cheap so if it fucks I gonna bin it with no regrets. I can afford many of those with my budget, just never buy new laptops. works fine, I can vm any system I want or bootcamp windows if needed
460 Is just petty cash for me.
>Dell XPS 15 with 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage and 4K OLED
>Macbook Pro 15 with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage.
They are about the same price where I live.
Sometimes there is a sale on the Dell so the top end configuration ends up cheaper than the Macbook.
Thinkpad P53 with a Quadro RTX 3000 is around the same price, thou the P53 supports 3x NVME and 4x SO-DIMMs.
It all depends on what you want in a laptop.
If you want to chew ass and eat cock then the Apple Macbook Pro 15 fits perfectly.
What can you run on a Mac that doesn't work on windows? I'm really asking
street shit harder iJeet
can you run Mac OS on windows? answer my phone from my laptop? send texts from my iPhone straight from laptop? no need to look for damn drivers, no updates during every restart? notes that sync with my phone straight away? proper nice screen? find me an equivalent monitor to MacBook Pros retina? the list is long...
you can not get better hardware. I've tried several laptops. for gaming I would use self built pc but for general use MacBook Pro only
I like Thinkpad as well as I like kebab but it could not be my everyday food.
>because you can't afford a Macbook.
Have you seen the prices on new thinkpads?
My x270 certainly wasn't cheap although at the same time greater value.
Well to be honest I don't really know what to say.
I do like some Apple apps like Apple Mail and Final Cut.
Apple Photos is also really good for my usecases.
I do like that I can brick the entire laptop remotly if it's ever stolen.
Send text messages or answer phone calls directly from the Mac.
What I love about OS X is that you have BSD userspace and can fetch open source stuff from homebrew and compile and run it directly.
I can do rails and golang projects directly on the mac without any problems and edit a family video later that evening.
I do use a linux desktop at work, and it's fine for just that, if you look away from all the vertical tearing, random freezes and a desktop interface that stutters a lot.
>for gaming I would use self built pc but for general use MacBook Pro only
Yeh i'm kinda there too.
But as I got older I realized I didn't game as much as I used too.
Next game session will be April 2020.
>mfw my X1 carbon cost more than a Macbook
now I have checked price of x270 an am convinced I did well buying MacBook Pro. you get lots for money with macbook.
>you can not get better hardware.
Have you ever even seen a toilet before iJeet?
>Too poor to afford a MacBook and survives on food stamps
>racist
Are you planning to vote for that moron again?
>can you run Mac OS on windows?
Yes, using VMware.
>answer my phone from my laptop?
There's probably an app for this but I haven't looked. Using Linux you definitely can, with Android, iOS or even a dumbphone - the BlueZ Bluetooth stack can make the PC act as a Bluetooth headset.
>send texts from my iPhone straight from laptop?
There's an app for this.
>no need to look for damn drivers
On Windows 10 drivers are usually found automatically if they're even needed. On Mac drivers are usually not needed, but are way more difficult to find when they are.
>no updates during every restart?
I have my connection set as metered, so updates only happen when I want them.
>notes that sync with my phone straight away?
Numerous note apps do this, but I typically just create text files on my NAS because I don't like to use the cloud when I don't need to.
>proper nice screen? find me an equivalent monitor to MacBook Pros retina?
Apart from DPI the IPS 14" 1080p on my ThinkPad is pretty sweet. Then on my desktop I use a 27" 1440p 144 Hz IPS. High DPI is one thing that Windows and Linux don't handle right.
>Have you ever even seen a toilet before iJeet?
whatever. I am done arguing. one more poo in the loo.
-There is no better touchpad than MacBooks.
>inb4 someone posts macbook with GNU/Linux on board
based street shitter
none of those arguments have convinced me. I do not like spending too much time on setting up all those apps and bluetooths any more and them never work as perfect as osx, since I am working professional and grown up I appriciate my free time. MacBook just werks!
Someone post the "MacBook => breaks => bin it / ThinkPad => breaks => fix it cheap" meme
I have windows 7 and haven't updated the sistem in years. I don't connect my phone to my laptop except for file transfers so I have no idea. Drivers are a pain and it should be automatic. When it comes to screens I'm a Samsung fan they just look better than other screen's to me. Most windows laptop's have terrible screens. It's 2020 almost way can't we get something that just work's.
>ThinkPad => breaks => fix it cheap" meme
fix it or not fix it sometimes. waste of the time and resources. Ive spent enough time in my life fixing my previous laptops as it was fun but it is not any more. bin it - is just easier.
I love win 7 desu. norms think I am mad. will set up vm with 7 tomorrow I think. thanks for inspiration
Hey guys how can I get a replacement battery for a Macbook Pro 15 mid 2014?
IFIXIT does not ship outside the US.
I'm scared of calling Apple in Norway they probably want 500 bucks to replace the battery.
I don't buy Apple products out of principle.
Fuck proprietary software, fuck wiping you ass with anti-trust law because "muh data" and fuck your shitty repair shops called "genius bars" that don't even open your laptop if it dies.
Same goes for Chromebook. At least Microsoft doesn't close their fucking store to competitors. They just have such a huge lead they can afford to piss about.
>I have windows 7 and haven't updated the sistem in years
What a security disaster you should really update your system, there is absolutely no reason not to.
10 is just a better version of 7 anyway, so just upgrade already, you obviously have absolutely no concern about your privacy or security, so just get at least up to date software.
eBay
>you get lots for money with macbook.
And significantly more if you buy an x270.
>buying counterfit macbook batteries on ebay
might as well just pour gasoline on the laptop and light the match
there is no battery that lasts forever anyways, just go apple store and pay. simple.
its only 199gbp = average 1.5 days work
If you enjoy flushing money, sure. I've seen screens, keyboards, wifi cards, hard disks and RAM die on various PC laptops. Usually instantly diagnosed (Number row won't type? Gee I think it's the keyboard. Screen is cracked? One guess what's wrong.) and usually a 5-10 minute repair once you have the part. If I'd gotten a Mac, each of these would be the same shipping time and an even more time-consuming data recovery / moving everything over to a new machine, plus a thousand dollar cost.
I use my phone for banking use the same 12 site every day. Most of the time I don't even browse on it I play games mess around with emulators and Unity and that's it.
Install Gentoo
your autism is showing
everything got its pros and cons. I have learnt one thing. most of the times its just easier to pay.
admit it: you dont comprehend 'free software: free society' by dr. richard m. stallman
Yes, that is very dangerous to do on a system which hasn't seen updates in years, which is why you really should update.
There is no point to purposefully keep yourself unsecured. And since you are already using Windows Microsoft already gets all the data it wants.
>ree software: free society
I don't but will look into it. I also let people earn money so I like to pay.
>ThinkPad keyboard dies
$50 or so and 10 minutes to change it out
>MacBook keyboard dies
That'll be $700 sir. We'll have it done in a couple days. By the way, we aren't responsible for any data stored on this machine and you might lose everything.
>I also let people earn money so I like to pay.
FREE AS IN FREEDOM NOT FREE AS IN GRATIS
People do make money writing free software and many projects have donation links/Patreoms/etc. where people can help fund the development or just give something back.
What data I don't use credit cards on it or my email it was bought second hand I don't have Facebook social media.Hell even the games aren't registered anywhere. My wifi is from the hotel next door.
I had a Macbook and gave it to my brother because I never used it.
you got me
>2015 13" Pro
Aside from Dual Core/Trackpad cable failing, peak ultrabook right there
>2019
>still buying laptops
Holy shit.
I use Macs but I install all kinds of open source software on them. In fact, I prefer macOS to Windows because it's Unix-based.
DESIGNATED
Who stores shit on their laptop?
I too have no HDD. I boot from usb and then toss the stick out and run entirely on ram.
Not even in the top 10 "ultrabooks". If you can call a shit apple product that is gimped an "ultrabook"
but she lost the election...
You write something or edit an image. Where do you store it?
Admit it, yo only use Macbook because you can't understand Linux.
