I'm trying to repair a drive that won't mount and is filled to the brim with important files; I'm reading Jow Forums's wiki on data recovery but it doesn't seem to get into what to do if you can't mount the drive, or how to do what they suggest with linux live CDs.

tldr: I get an error message saying my drive is corrupted when I try to mount it, what do I do? Even just a link to a (better) guide would be appreciated

im using gimp and im trying to print out exactly whats on my canvas but the size changes when printing
my canvas size is 8.5 x 11 in but when im about to print the image size changes to something like ~8.3 x 10.6~ in. why? i dont want any centering either but it wont let me have 0 padding this is such a pain

Root, Bootloader Unlock and Carrier Unlock are 3 different things. Unlocking other carriers only happens if a specific exploit has been discovered for your model of phone, which isn't super common.

Retail does transfer, but most people don't buy retail cause it's expensive as balls. OEM is a licence type, it doesn't just mean shit bought by Dell etc on your behalf.

You can simply install windows 10 on your current PC and enter the 7 key to get a valid license. That may or may not transfer to the new PC with but either way there's no point spending money right now.

Wasn't going to make a thread just for this, but any Android user who likes the app Termius (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.server.auditor.ssh.client) which is a great ssh client app, the current version has a working custom patch in Lucky Patcher which will give you pro version. The app is worth being paid, and I would buy it if it was a reasonable price, but it's a subscription and is $10 a month/$120 a year or $100 a year if bought yearly. If it was a $20 one time purchase, I'd support the dev, but $100/$120 a year for an app is just ridiculous. If you aren't rooted and can't use lucky patcher, respond and I'll give you a pre-patched apk with the custom patch applied so you can install the cracked apk. Let me know.

In some games, I can see the "seems" of a 3D object. I know I optimized my nvidia control panel for performance but is there a specific option to make it so I don't see these "seems"? I think it might have something to do with transparency AA but I'm not sure.

Get the hls playlist url using the traffic inspection in your web browser, then use it as the input parameter on ffmpeg. then chop out the video with the -vn switch.

Power supplies are not space heaters. The watt rating is how much they can supply, not what they idly consume. When a wattage requirement is listed for a video card, that's only a momentary peak, not what it's continuously using. Get a supply with a high efficiency rating.

I'm now sitting in a knoppix live CD scanning my 1tb drive with testdisk
I don't even know what to do after this and I've been at it for idk how many hours....
at the very least it scanned 2 fat12 partitions or something. idk how hard drives work. I hate this and I hate not trusting anything but Jow Forums and their useless wiki.
