On-call Lignux tech support (in-person and remote) for a weird little company. Pay is a lot less than it should be, and the hours suck, but there's free breakfast, free beer starting an hour before work ends, and I obviously get healthcare, so it's fine... for now. They all know I'm kind of a freetard, and half of the IT department is also freetarded too, so it's not a hostile environment.
I'm a freelance direct response copywriter. Not very sexy but it pays the bills.
Python development for this thingy called Odoo which is a semi-open source crm/erp suite. Having a tough time with the api documentation though.
Would have preferred a comfy it job but anything's better than working tables.
I welder stuff underwater
I smash animetards with my steel bat for money.

Software engineer mostly in instrumentation. Currently in bio equipment/applications, formerly in semiconductor equipment.

Going to university for CS and working for the university as a tutor for the lower half of the degree. Basically I sit in a room and wait for random people to come in and ask me for help debugging java programs
It's not all too bad, but overtime can get creepy as fuck. Doesn't help that it's cold as a witch's tit down there.
I do repairs and maintenance on production equipment mostly involving sewing machines and the like. Sometimes a bit of it support here and there and small stuff like that.
what kind of qualifications did you need to get a job like that?
NEET, play classic wow and shitpost all day
>implying I make a living
DEATH TO THE RICH

InfoSec Manager. I shitpost all day and do actual real work 4 weeks a year when the auditors are here

Refurbing laptops/phones/tablets
It's approved by the neetbux office here in my country.
Just start ASAP -- don't spend too much time trying to learn everything before you begin. Just jump in and start writing. You'll have time to continue learning while you're working but the best way to learn is to just do and split test. See what works, what doesn't, etc.
From there it's really just a numbers game until you've built up a decent client list and portfolio. Once you've carved out your own little corner in whatever niche you're wanting to sell in, you start having clients come to you and you won't have to do much outreach.
But when you're first starting off, expect to send a shit ton of emails, pitches, proposals, and even some spec work if you're feelin ballsy.
One of my earliest pitches to a company was an email saying "your landing page is pretty terrible, I re-wrote it and included a mockup attached below, have your web team run an A/B test with it against your current LP and shoot me an email back in 3 weeks when you see how much better your conversions are."
Oh, and find a niche you prefer to write in. I personally stay away from cosmetics and anything dealing with medicinal claims, FDA regulations, etc. but there is a ton of money there for those who specialize in it.

Boring dot net job, mostly doing chatbots. The only good thing is that I don't need to talk to costumers, I only do the implementation so I just put my phones and don't talk to anybody until I leave. I suspect that my co-workers think I'm a sociopath, but my manager likes me cause I finish the tasks on time and even got me a raise without asking.

ayy lemme ask you some questions:
how easy is it to dev custom integrations/apis for odoo?
how easy is it to implement marketing automation (e.g. Mautic)?
thanks very much mane
I dont. I have too low IQ to work so I study engineering so that I can neet with a clear conscience. Im not going to do physical work, Id rather kill myself.
I wanna be that guy, just some regular ol' IT help helper in a school or other organization, or IT service desk for companies who sell solutions to other companies. Right now my studies are mostly just web development but I've developed a distaste for project work and I think I'd just go ballistic if I had to work in code.
I scam people.
Are you earning anything?
Numale detected
Idk cause im still new and am the only one working on the thing, still trying to get the basivs down with a deadline ticking on me :(
If i had to guess i'd say it wouldn't be too hard, because everything seems modular.
I wish I was a numale. Say what you will but at least theyre able to hold a job and go to social gatherings. At least they dont have sub 110 IQ
Webshit for 180k/yr. Live in GA.
manual labor can be pretty cool if you have luck and encounter nice people. I befriended many "dumb", but very helpful, good people when I was working in a factory. plus I was able to listen to music and audiobooks all day while doing this mindless work. very cool times.
by the way nice artful picture, very intriguing

Serious question: how to get a job in tech without a degree? Programmer or sysadmin are fine by me.
programmer
>freelance
sysadmin
>get a degree
Hmmm I wonder who could be behind this post...
Hmmm I wonder if this is just unable to accept the fact that real life takes work and he can't score a cushy sysadmin job without getting a degree
I hit the nail I see.
cert is not a degree
you can go right now to microsoft or redhat, cisco
tests.
if you pass them you get the cert no degree needed
tell that to
but i bet he won't put forth the effort
