been using it for 7 years and I don't think I'll ever switch unless Canonical fucks up REALLY badly

I use Arch+Openbox+Compton+xfce4-panel. I would never use Ubuntu for desktop.

I use it on my work laptop. Xubuntu is perfect for that. "It just works™"
Easy to setup and use.
For my desktop I have gentoo because that I can work more with, where as work machine needs ro be ready all the time.

nvidia-settings --assign CurrentMetaMode="nvidia-auto-select +0+0 { ForceFullCompositionPipeline = On }"
