It's not bait. I do miss a few things that I'm used to at work, like running Docker natively, but with the Windows Subsystem for Linux, you can install Debian, Ubuntu and other distros. No more Cygwin crap. You still have to run an X server if you want that sort of thing, but I don't use that. Windows applications + Linux terminal all local, all native... It's really nice.

I mean, I guess. Tiling WM is pretty basic though. I have the most experience with StumpWM and Ratpoison before that. I didn't really like any of the others.

It is family tradition that all computers were on power plugs that were able to be turned off. So the procedure is to shut down the PC and then turn off the power so the supply etc don't trickle any Watts and you don't have to worry about anything. I always thought it of kind of a quirk but nevertheless always held myself to it because you never know. I also never knew about this hibernate on poweroff thing, guess that family tradition is not so bad after all.

I'm constantly using 3 monitors and BSPWM's tiling is unironically amazing.
ive been on windows for the past five months for work and i miss bspwm with all my heart. if this is real, i wont hate windows as much.
My mom uses either mint on her laptop or iOS on her iPad tho.
But yet they fail to integrate multiple tabs in their file explorer.
It's just sad at this point.
