python. period.

Learn both

Both

You can't expect a career in CS if you are unwilling to learn new languages.

Java

but if you only had time to learn one, which one would you pick (or pick first)

Python will get you a job,C will give you the wisdom of 1k Python virgin but not a job, unless you do embedded

There are less C jobs and their mostly for better programmers. If you just want a job python or JS is the way to go.

Both : Python is trendy though.

All machine learning is being done in python.
People are talking about "libraries" for machine learning algorithm.
If you just want to use algorithms then python.
If you want to write algorithm then C.

neither

Always be open minded to learn new things (but probablynnot from Jow Forums).

Look at "Stack Overflow Developer Survey" for some data.

That said, Python easier to learn and easier to write; while C gives you a better understanding of the lower layers, but requires more experience to write good code.

If you are starting, learn Python or JavaScript. If you already have experience, you probably don't have this question anymore.

The voice of wisdom.

>Mr. Durga Sir ICON of Java ITT
hello sir

You won't get a C job unless you have 7+ years of experience in that already.

You might not like to admit it but Python is what peak C looks like

What should OP learn if not Python or C? Python is the most universally applicable language there is. If you're not sure, and you just want to learn somehting, Python is hands down where you should start.
Start programming with python, see what you like and what interests you and head in that new direction.

python unless you arent nigger

neither, because you'd sperg out at any job interview you'd get.

Learn both. They complement eachother nicely.

So python if you're not a nigger? You confused me, user.

nah i've had jobs as a webshit and i want to branch out

python, it's easier to learn and you can churn out work samples a lot quicker than C to show off on your github
