Looks like utter shit unless you get it for free and then resell it to a retard.

PLEASE SHOW ME HOW YOU CAN BUY THE SAME SPECS ON NEWEGG WITH 6k
NO YOU CAN'T
SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE FUCK UP

The only thing Apple was ever good for was final cut pro as a video editor when I was doing my media degree.

Everything else was utter shit.

The Radeon pro duo Vega II is the only thing cool about the entire Mac Pro. And they're only available on the top tier model of the Mac Pro.
>Dual GPU card
>Each GPU has 32GB HBM, 64GB per card
>Top spec Mac pro can do 2x dual cards, so 4x GPU's with 128GB HBM
There's literally nothing else like it on the market. Doesn't make the Mac Pro worth $50k though.

osx's window manager is kind of hot garbage for most applications and especially most applications and utilities that you end up using. except for one thing - photoshop. literally the one thing i am willing to extend an olive branch on is that yes - photoshop and final cut are kind of better to use with the OSX window manager in comparison to the Windows window manager. i've been using Vegas for like 10 years so its clearly not worth switching over, but the timeline and content management being separate windows rather than captive inside another one is just a better representation of the workflow.

like if you have a mac for 'graphic design work' then its great. but i use my computer to do other stuff too

this isn't a very good analogy when the grapes are clearly already rotting on the vine

Horribly stupid and inefficient HOUSEFIRES that is outdated already

Smashed together some things that kinda meet those specifications, not sure if that's the graphics card but it's estimated at $2000.
This entire build is $3500-3600 something, around $1600 without the card. Any help with figuring out compatibility issues/better alternatives would be appreciated.
Seethe harder, iToddler.

Can you post one piece of hardware that utilizes the full bandwidth of PCIE3? I'll wait.

Please name any new technology that utilizes the full bandwidth of PCIE3.

My scratch disk?

Attached: file.png (1200x800, 645K)

I said that utilizes the full bandwidth of PCIE3, not that just utilizes PCIE4 for the meme.
This thing doesn't even come close to use the full bandwidth of PCIE3, there are PCIE3 drives that are faster.

>just shut up and buy my overpriced and old hardware!
Oh, user, I pity you. I can't imagine the amount of cope you gonna have next year, when we all gonna be sitting on DDR5 and possibly PCIE 5.0 year later, with insane SSD speeds utilizing new gen PCIE speeds...
While you... Will be paranoid on your ancient hardware, using all 8 cores at 90% just to browse WEB and it still gonna be slow, because of your low speed RAM...
Post your mailbox address, I'll send you some cheese.

Attached: 1557889101999.png (1414x657, 160K)

Wrong. NVME SSDs use four lanes, which gives them a theoretical max of below 4gb/s. Even the cheaper 4.0 SSDs are hitting 5gb/s, and Samsung are selling one that hits 8gb/s.
PCIE3.0 is an active bottleneck for modern storage, and anyone who buys into the new Mac Pro is going to be stuck there for years.

No CUDA. Is that computer for gaming or facebook?

b-but muh opencl

is that a smart cheese grater? iGrater? I actually don't understand...

>Storage encrypted by the Apple T2 Security Chip.

Well, what's the actual difference between this and a somewhat regular TPM that you can already use with BitLocker or dm-crypt ?

why are macfags in love with pissing away money?

I'm in here laughing at the itoddlers, but also laughing at the normal toddlers like this one who can't fathom the need for ECC RAM.

>corsair case
I could save some extra by replacing it

Attached: 1549808337213.png (1378x1591, 711K)

You could, yeah, I just wanted a nice meme case in there so people didn't accuse me of cheaping out.

>guy who wasted money on preventing 0.00001% chance errors justifying his waste of $50 by calling people who chose not to bother toddlers

Based retard.

Whether you can buy this exact thing from someone else is irrelevant. The question is who is this even for?
>inb4 muh professionals
Anyone who needs workstation-level hardware should get an actual workstation computer that costs less and is more powerful (and doesn't overheat). Anyone who doesn't have the space for that workstation would just use a render/server farm or something. What actual work does the mac pro do better than anything else? None.

Based Apple saving its users from the cancer that is freetardism

>People who want value are retarded
>Please Apple, take my money so I can say at least I'm not poor!

Satan is waiting for you.

see
Also that way you'd be able to upgrade to 3rd gen threadrippers or get a 32-core for like $1,000 when that thing drops like hiroshima.

>"wasting" money on a server using ZFS to keep bad bits in memory from being sent to disk
Okay.

Satan might be waiting, but Satania has always been here.

Who the fuck buys a workstation to host a fileshare?
If you're an organization willing to drop $6k on a base model workstation, you have a real file server.

>ikea grater
MY SIDES

ZFS isn't just for file servers.
