the one on the right is ultimately a better technical quality photo that could be improved to a better image whereas the one on the left is just polaroid bullshit

Except sunflowers aren't green and the sky is never that dark blue tone.

The image on the left is over exposed, has blown highlights and less stops of dynamic range.

I think one thing it does is some kind of TXAA like algorithm the supersamples your image by blending multiple pictures it constantly shoots before you actually take your pic.
I may be confusing this with another app though.
