One of them is something that can be updated without shitting itself and has an a large user repository so you don't have to play with tarballs. The other is some piece of shit that won't have your wifi driver, will only tell you partially through installation, and will make you jump through hoops to get the version of software with features all the other distros have, and passing off the lack of updates as stability.
