feels for this feel?

My GAYMER build from 2012.
waiting for Intel's response to Ryzen or ryzen 3 to make a real workstation.
rendering videos on a 4c 2600k is pain.

Attached: GAYMEN.jpg (2103x1920, 1.86M)

What's stopping you from upgrading retard, Threadrippers are all you need for muh renders. Jesus

>waiting for Intel's response to Ryzen

Are those the Noctua rubber edges on Redux fans? Did they fit well?

>What's stopping you from upgrading
I want to see how a desktop Sunny Cove chip preforms. zen 2 is good, but not good enough due to shit clocks.
Premiere and Photoshop still favor higher clocked Chips.

do you think a company that makes $71,000,000,000 a year will just allow a competing company to destroy them?
i'm genuinely curious if you believe that.

>do you think a company that makes $71,000,000,000 a year will just allow a competing company to destroy them?
>i'm genuinely curious if you believe that.
They won't, but their response won't materialize out of thin air. You're delusional if you think Intel can get any sort of "response" before 2021. Good luck though.

Not that guy.
But imho just buy whoever gives you better performance for your money without any brand whoring. And rn that's AMD, Intel has jewed the consumers for a pretty long time too. So if it's equal, I rather go AMD.

The one downside of this case is that the filters are hard to clean.

Attached: PC-20190906.jpg (2880x2160, 2M)

The future is cheap and multi threaded, consumer Intel chips are neither.

you still didn't answer why the top fan is set to intake.

With a 9700k running at 5.1GHz, the VRMs can get very hot under load. Air running directly over the VRMs helps with temperatures enormously.

Let me also answer the question I know you'll ask next.
>but hot air rises
Unless your build is entirely passive, convection is completely irrelevant in a computer case.

>You're delusional if you think Intel can get any sort of "response" before 2021
i never said i expected it immediately.
Intel is just now shipping 10nm 2c and 4c chips for laptops ex.

>The future is cheap and multi threaded
same stupid ass argument Bulldozer users said in 2011.
how consoles use 8 cores so FX would be better long term. Fast FWD to 2019 and sandy is EVEN faster than FX.

learn to read gay boy
premiere and Photoshop favor higher clocks.
that's why a 5.0ghz 8700k beats AMD's 12 core chips.

Ryzen 5 3600
Sapphire Nitro 590

weird build.
you spent a fuck ton on a CPU and skimped out on literally everything else.
even that ddr4 is complete trash

>do you think a company that makes $71,000,000,000 a year will just allow a competing company to destroy them?
>i'm genuinely curious if you believe that.
Intel just rebrands some old CPU and puts that out since that still outperforms Ryzen CPUs
INtel hasn't answered because there is no need to

Meh he can upgrade everything at some point during the lifetime of the whole thing. it should be planned for the CPU to last longest and that's what the build is about looks it. Board and CPU are top notch and they're all that matter for the most part.

half the parts are from a prebuilt, I've just been upgrading it progressively

I had a build like that, mixing a lot of stuff and upgrading little by little, like i5 4460 with 750ti and shit mobo, then add ssd, better cooler, 16gb ram, 1060 6gb, 4tb hdd, i7 4570 and good mobo (+ the old ram), 8tb hdd, ssd, 1080 ti, and a few cases in between.
The build I posted is only using one SSD, the 1080 ti and the case.
Also, I removed the I/O shield to fit the AOI.

>they're all that matter for the most part.
not really
for gaming zen 2 needs 3600mhz ddr4 cl16 at least
rendering needs more than 8gb
and any Cuda accelerated task needs more than a cheap ass 1060.
so his Gaymen and heavy workload potential is shit

I'd put a fan with some kind of arm or whatever in 45° between the CPU socket and the first RAM stick on the left. That way you'd have direct air to both VRM sets and a good airflow, but if your set up just works then whatever.

fell for the ssd meme

I assume you used to have a fishtank.

Lol cucked out of top slot by the noctua meme.

You are going to be waiting a very long time.

Yes they are, and they fit perfectly.
They're just cheapo ones from ebay from what I can remember. There's nothing particularly good about them, but they look nicer than the white ones that came with my case.

Best build here coming through faggots

Attached: 1526244243430.png (2160x1078, 3.78M)

Black looks way better though. White cases looks tacky 95% of the time, and they won't age as well.

fkng post it then

>talks shit
>doesn't reply with his own build
You faggots literally all the same. Too scared to show off your shit box, but will be first to judge what you wished you had.

Haven't opened this thing in 2 years.

You should swap the position of your gpu and sound card for better airflow to gpu.

Looks nice tho

I miss my Ft02.
Wish they made an updated version that is higher and without all the 3.5" and 5.2" slots.

Attached: IMG_20190829_134236.jpg (4048x3036, 3.71M)

Only slots 1 and 4 are full 16x.

It runs a little hot down there, but it's not completely choked. Usually runs around 74c under full load.

Cpu fan can make some noise when it's hot in my office 82+ F. Other than that it's pretty good. If I had a AC it would be silent. Thankfully fall is almost here.

Yeah, I should've bought the D15S instead of the regular D15. I can still make it fit in the top slot but I would have to remove the back plate on the gpu.

Isn't the difference literally just the extra fan?

>Hurrr look it muh things I bought. So >technology.
>I so smart.
>Why can't I get a job
>Must be Joos, trannies and such
>Mum's say I'm smart
>Muh tendies

Come on already, instead talking about cool setups you faggots just post pictures of shit you bought.
Or... Get this. He managed to install a fucking OS by following step by step guide.
Wow. Just fucking wow.
Look ma I'm on technology board.

didn't imagine someone would be so upset at this thread

he's projecting real hard user, just ignore him like his parents

Eternal Sandy edition

Attached: build.jpg (3198x2477, 3.8M)

why the 92mm fans placed right there user? does it really help lower temps that much?

Attached: 1453421155827.jpg (502x431, 22K)

I had the two little fans cooling my last gpu and now after upgrading, this seems to be their next best use. I don't want my fans lying around unused.

Attached: vga_holder.jpg (4404x2477, 1.6M)

The D15S is slightly shifted towards the top to clear the first pcie slot. The front fan is also removed for ram compatibility.

Attached: d15vsd15s.jpg (1920x1280, 351K)

It separates the case into two chambers, a high pressure zone at the bottom and a low pressure zone up top. The only path for the air to get to the lower pressure zone is to move through the PSU and GPU heat sinks. It makes sure all air taken in by the fans moves through a radiator, so that fan speed can be minimized.

>retards decided toothpicks are technology
>let's have an never ending thread about it

There's a difference in talking about technology (how it's made, pros and cons, cool stuff you did to make it work ) and pure consumerism (I bought this, so now we are same team (!) )

Bro, what the fuck, come on now.

As for you and projecting.... Did it ever occur to you that not everyone here is a gaymur manchild with daddy / mommy issues?
Good thing for you they tolerate grown ass leecher on their backs.

You don't know shit about technology other than buying shit with parents money and following tutorials. Now, when someone calls you out for it your response is what?

>your parents ignored you, that's why you think I suck

No sunshine, you suck because you're polluting the thread with your fucking Dunning-Kruger.

You managed to put proper shape into proper slot? Wow dude, you can read and follow simple instructions? Gosh that's amazing... No child left behind, you are the last "winner"

You could an hero too at this point

Attached: 1482580422087.jpg (705x592, 67K)

Why do you hVe three fans on the wrong side of the case?

Doesn't sound like a problem at all. I've been wanting to try a mini-build for a while but my thermal/sound worries have kept me off. I live in a much colder place than you do so this really sparked my interest again. Thanks.

Attached: serveimage.png (1800x1578, 115K)

no thanks, I'd rather keep posting and starting threads like this since it genuinely makes you upset

Attached: #lol.png (612x348, 188K)

>telling a retard he's wrong
Nice comeback morons.
Same as talking about plant cultivation (I bought this plant so.. like... my plant better than yours type of thing) on EE forum.

>tell them this is not what we talk about here.

You came to wrong thread, oh I'm gonna talk about it just to try and make you mad.

Wow kid watch out not to get cut on that edge. Like all kids your age you're the smartest hotshot around...

Since you get things so slow, reason why you don't talk about technology in technical terms is pic related.
