In general, LiGnux distros are smaller, lighter, and more configurable than Win10, including distros that ship with Gnome or KDE by default. Incorrect. Both Windows 8 and 8.1 are smaller and significantly less resource hungry than Win10. They both also contain far less telemetry and SaaS-centric "features'. They also boot in half the time Win10 does, or less.

i've been using lineageos for a long time.
recently, i busted my dumbphone (the phone i carry with me and make calls with) so i had to put my sim card into my S7.

the problem is, with lineageos, my S7 is locked and i had to reinstall stock android for it to be unlocked and usable with my sim card.

there are like over 30 google/samsung/microsoft apps and services that i just can't uninstall.

i guess there's a way to remove them, but it's still bloated as fuck by default.
