Just bought new linux system

>just bought new linux system
>it is a shitty i3core, 4GB notebook
>it still runs faster than my fucking 12GB i7core HP with Windows
wtf, the memes are true. Linux really is faster.

Now try doing something productive with it and tell us how fast your system is then.

Are you retarded or just pretending?

Nice trolling my friend!
Here's your gold OP!

Editing Pepe memes in pirated photoshop isn't productivity

Linux does f*cking magic to RAM man,i wouldnt be surprised if most distros worked well with one gigabyte of ram.

can you please tell me what windows does that makes it more productive

has actual professional apps

>HP

>tfw running Debian on my 12 year old toaster and using 200MB Ram with nothing open but the session
Windowsfags will never know the feel

what makes the windows professional apps better than the ones on Linux?

What distro?

good trolling user

a brand new installation of an Linux distro runs faster than a probably years-old bloated installation of Windows, are you a fucking wizard user

>What distro?
Fucking standard Ubuntu mate.

please user, respond to this
post. I wanna know what makes windows better than Linux before the thread dies

>have to use win10 host + win10 VMs for anything thats not officially supported by IT (and also everything that is used for work)
you dont know real pain

>have to use win10 host + win10 VMs for anything thats not officially supported by IT
>and also everything that is used for work
such as?

TIA, CAD and stuff. it hurts. on host you can only use edge to browse net and write some stuff in notepad++ (but no compilers or anything)

are you intentionally ignorant? Do you have any idea how much software is exclusively written for windows in businesses?

LTS or newest release?

It says it`s updated to the latest version but I wouldnt know because Im a tech retard,

That’s interesting to hear. I’m thinking of using Linux myself, with Ubuntu, but I was hesitant because I heard that normal Ubuntu has kind of a slow GUI, as it looks more graphically intensive. Maybe I’ll give it a shot

Can a Linux virtual machine on Windows 10 give me the same performance benefits?

sure, run another Windows 10 inside Linux machine for double the performance and Windows usability.

bad bait

>normal Ubuntu has kind of a slow GUI
Only Unity, and only because of bad drivers.
Use Linux Mint with Cinnamon.

I run Debian on an old Pentium PC with 1GB RAM, and yeah, it runs pretty good.

Welcome aboard, OP.

programs that are required by major businesses if you want jobs out of college that aren't sysadmin
namely the adobe suite of software which doesn't run very well under wine and you will not tell me to use free alternatives because you cannot do that in the industry. you just can't. i want a living wage more than i care about free as in freedumb.

I ran a lightweight 64 bit Debian install on 512MB once. Web browsing was limited to one or two tabs but it worked.

>living wage
you don't need windows for that

I ran ubuntu server on an old celeron laptop with 256MB of ram and it was lightning fast.

It has games

If a business requires you to use a particular OS or application it will be provided to you in anything but the most nigger tier jobs. This is a stupid argument.

What desktop is this? looks kinda shitty but also nice at the same time.

awesome wm

>it will be provided to you in anything but the most nigger tier jobs.
and it's provided to me via windows, not linux
i fail to see how this contradicts my point
