I'm very much in favor of trans acceptance, but god I hate the pronoun shit. Especially the made up ones like ze and zir. It sounds like a pronoun for fucking aliens. We already have a gender neutral pronoun and it's "they". You can use it in the singular now, it's fine.

And it's just so tiresome when some obviously male dude decides to inform you that his pronouns are he/him just to signal how virtuous he is. Like we all have to do this fucking pronoun introduction game now because some tiny like 1% of the country doesn't want to correct people who call them by the wrong pronoun? Fuck off.

The stickers are there so that nobody has to either ask OR get upset when they don't get called what they. If someone doesn't have a sticker on, its fine to assume etc... since they passed stickers out. If they do have a sticker on, then you know what to call them without having to ask nor them having to introduce themselves and say their pronoun of choice.

Seems an easy solution for everyone, really.

If the effort is being polite and going along with whatever someone asks me to call them then I'm fine with that.

It's specialised though, and only has around 100 attendees, so you don't really run into much of the cringeworthy shit you'd find at any large gathering of people.

It was because she said that she was okay being referred to as "she" and that the whole pronoun introduction thing + "they/them" being the new pronoun for "fairness to everyone" actually makes her feel worse because she's binary (ie identifies as a woman). So all the non-binary people just REEEEEEED at her constantly saying she was justifying hate toward them or something not inclusive etc... simply because she preferred "she" . It was really a shitshow.

Passing in the context of trannies means they look like the gender they're trying to become convincingly. If that's the case, then most people will just use the pronoun the tranny presents without issue. When a tranny isn't passing, then it causes cognitive dissonance having to use different pronouns than one would instinctively think to use. The option there is to either guess, which has a chance of blowing up in your face, or to ask the person what gender they are/pronouns they use, which takes time and also has a small chance of blowing up in your face.
