Is even possible to have truly private technology?

Are you even truly safe from glowniggers with Linux or BSD? And even if you are - could you even access your data from a phone? What's to stop the Android or iOS system from feeling the data you're accessing and reporting it all back to HQ? You could VPN into your own machine and just view anything you needed remote desktop style, but that's so inconvenient you might as well use a flip phone.

what for?

Linux and stuff.

>Linux
>>use Google products
Your own fault, nobody can protect you from your own retardation.

what the fuck are you talking about retard

Using Linux, it's mostly owned by Google.

no it's not

??

>you might as well use a flip phone
that's essentially what i'm doing. i do own a smartphone, but mobile data and wifi are permanently turned off. the whole reason to not switch to a feature phone is that i don't want to carry another device (some kind of media player) around. files get transfered to the phone by usb-otg.
>use Google products
yeah, no.

Most people using Linux use Google products.

Flip phones are proprietary. Android system is at least open source, if we don't count firmware drivers.

iOS is as much open source as Android is.

Alright, then show me the sources of its display manager and one of its default apps (like camera).

Display manager is proprietary, here's a default app
opensource.apple.com/source/WebKit/WebKit-7605.3.8/

*gnu+linux

feature phones may have proprietary operating systems however since they can't connect to internet they allow you to have more privacy since the only information being sent out is to the shitty government and service provider

That's Android you idiot
Most of the GNU/Linux distros don't have any spyware (google, amazon, ...) on them

wrong statement my dude

Yes, and Android is a Linux distro.
No, it's true.

Just because Android is Linux based doesn't mean it has anything to do withr any other form of Linux

If it uses Linux, it's a Linux distro.

Wow tell me more captain obvious
Now also tell me, who the fuck uses android for security and *pffft* privacy

Why is that relevant? I'm just saying that most people who use Linux are using it through Google.

if one distro is botnet, that doesn't make all other distros botnet too
just like if one mexican sell drugs, that doesn't make all mexicans drug dealers
it's not Jow Forums, asshole

But it's by far the most used distro. It is the only reason Linux is the most used OS for personal computers.

Webkit isn't a default app. Try again

lmao retard
android isn't a Linux distro, Linux these days means GNU/Linux. android isn't GNU/Linux

>Linux doesn't mean Linux it means something else

linux is a kernel

who uses Android on Desktop/Laptop ?!
It's been only used on handheld devices.
If you got any shady thing to do or you want to store your datas somewhere secure, you wouldn't do that with your cellphone anyway now, would you?!
real job is done with PCs, and android doesn't have anything to say in that area

>who uses Android on Desktop/Laptop ?!
I didn't say that.
>real job is done with PCs
Do you mean personal computers or IBM PC compatibles?

you referred Android as GNU/Linux, and you insist that's correct because android is the most used GNU/Linux distro out there
most people that use android cellphones doesn't even know it's a GNU/Linux distro, they just buy them because it's the default OS on samsung or huawei cellphones.
people who choose GNU/Linux dostros for their PCs, mostly know what they want or what they're doing and i'm sure they don't install android on their PCs. And by PC i mean personal computer (Desktop/Laptop)

Are languages hard for your brain?

>feature phones can't connect to the internet
They've had browsers in them since sprint still used this logo.

>Is even possible to have truly private technology?
yes
>Linux
>>use Google products
maybe don't do this?

shit bait 3/10

>Most people using Linux use Google products.
First, provide proof.
Second how do you go from that to
>linux is mostly owned by google

I don't give a shit about botnet distros because I don't use botnet distros.
>oh but android
Again, I don't care. My distro is not android, and us using the same kernel doesn't make them the same thing.

privacy doesn't mean the same as evading the CIA and NSA, retard. if you did something to warrant their attention, what anime bitches you look at on the internet is the least of your concern.
