Give me reason not to like Visual Studio Code
Elijah Gutierrez
Connor Evans
You hate it because you are bad at it.
Ryder Turner
Nonfree software and spyware. Use vscodium
Gabriel Anderson
Nothing is free. Microsoft are using it to push their products. For example, when you open a .sql file, even if it is for Postgres, it will recommend you install mssql extension. The default docs are msdn, not mdn, etc. Soon they will start pushing Azure heavily and so on.
Still, I use it. I don't think there are many better options. It has a nice interface and is usually fast enough.
Caleb Wright
It's a 100MB package that installs as 270MB and balloons to nearly 740MB once you make the mistake of opening even a single .c file as it's going to immediately start installing C/C++ extensions and containerized clang toolchains you already had installed on your machine.
It won't ask you either.

Jordan Thompson
It's not Emacs.
Brayden Nguyen
Sublime Textâ„¢ exists.
Adrian Diaz

My cracked version doesn't have this problem.

Does it still use 30% of the cpu and GPU for displaying a blinking cursor?
Nathaniel Roberts
The C++ debugger still doesn't let you edit breakpoints mid session
Jonathan Ward

It doesnt calm my extreme autism like VIM or Emacs do.
Aditionally, using code doesnt allow me to be an elitist niggerfaggot on the internet
Henry Gonzalez

Colocated servers are the ethically, morally and financially correct choice.
Isaiah Jenkins
But nobody is doing that in 2019. Handling hardware is such a pain!
Jace Rogers

Why would a text editor need to be constantly updated?
Alexander Cook
Do you really need VR headset drivers and Xbox controlelr support in your text editor?
Austin Sullivan
yes because their devs need something to do
Eli Howard
Baswd
Michael Butler
It will also spin up Java servers for linting
Juan Jackson
Everything that isn't running libreboot is spyware. You are literally writing in a spyware closed source image board.
Landon Green
cause it looks like IDE but at the end its just a text editor
one example, when working with C++ I can't create .cpp file from .h file with all the functions signatures, but this is minor issue, any way you should use proper IDE like Jetbrains(Clion), Netbeans, maybe even Visual Studio.
Easton Martinez
Can't debug with godot using VS, VSC works.
Cameron Bell
It werks

Why it completely deadlocks my old 4GB RAM i3 Lenovo laptop after working on it after few hours? I don't have this problem with Sublime Text, so problem must lies in electron bloat
Evan Peterson
Is atom better than vs code?
Daniel Robinson
while it is okay for, like, python and flutter i guess i would never use it for anything bigger. flutter is pretty on it though
Ian Green
