I liked atom at one point but I don't use it anymore because I found it was slow and prone to crashing.

VS was okay but also slow

so I'm back to emacs for ides with kate & nano as text editors

I've been meaning to try Geany, heard some good things about it but haven't gotten around to trying it yet

I don't like this whole thing of having different text editors/ides for different languages but that's where I always seem to end up
