I keep my rad in the front because even with my 7700k @ 5ghz the water temp never has gone above 35c. If I was to swap it like you told him too, the gpu would definitely heat up the rad more than what the rad heats up the gpu. Gpu is the hottest component of a pc since there isn't much support to cool it unless you go full custom.

I upgraded to my 9900k from my 4770k just so I could be ready for Cyberpunk 2077. Honestly knowing meme-tracing will be in it is the only reason I'm thinking of upgrading from the 1080, and if I upgrade now it might as well be something beefy so it lasts a few years

cybertranny2077 will be the next witcher 3 at release. it will bring highend gpu's to its knees, even with hairworks / ray tracing disabled. just like the witcher 3 was at release. there's a reason why till this day witcher 3 still used for benchmarking. so getting a 2080 ti, regardless how overpriced it is, wouldn't be a negative in terms of performance for now, and future games. if you got your 1080 during 2016, you got a lot of use out of it. you'll get a lot of use out of that 2080 ti.
