Mozilla Firefox is not a good browser anymore

firefox based browsers are dead. It has really crappy JavaScript experience and it’s old.

Stop shilling this piece of crap.

>old software bad

Then tell me a good Chromium based browser that doesn't hog up all the RAM and isn't a creep.
>Google Chrome
>Chromium
>Brave
>Opera
Is Vivaldi any different?

Firefox is good tho cause flames

What else is there? Chrome is not a solution for paranoids, it's modified webkit, Safari is only on Macs, Servo is far from being finished and it still uses SpiderMonkey for JS. Qt stuff is also a webkit wrapper.
For now it's just a choice webkit derivatives or Gecko, there's no third option sadly

what happened to firefox? ive been using chrome lately so i havent kept up with the HOT news

aren't webkit and blink different?

>Old
>Mozilla is continually innovating and optimizing in multiprocessing and js engine.

Firefox is currently the only cutting edge browser.

Yes.

The dumb frogposter is talking out of their ass and making claims without backing them up.

ah all good then

Google's Blink is a fork of Apple's Webkit which is a fork of KDE's Webkit.

Anything that uses Webkit as it's base (i.e. including everything based on Chrom*) can byt definition not be private since KDE devs didn't give a shut about fingerprinting zombie cookies and other attacks in 1998 when this was written and now it's too late to update the code (for KDE) or it would be retarded financially to implement those protections (for every other company including Apple and Brave)

Yeah, Vivaldi is the only one on that list with an UI slower than Firefox.

Ah, I see.

It would be nice if there was a better wrapper for gecko, then, I guess. Firefox's interface has slowly been becoming worse and less configurable, compare the settings menu with 5 years ago, even if the same about:config settings are there.

The fact you need an extension to whitelist javascript only on a few websites is not so good, firefox even being open source feels like you're fighting against it, somewhat.

I forgot about Netrunner but its development almost stopped 2 years ago and it might be even less usable than servo

It's the only option we got tho.

Too bad the other best alternative, Chrome, is nothing more than a spyware rootkit.

In my experience, Firefox Quantum is enormously faster than Chrome.

Vivaldi has a lot of nice options.
So far i like it and installed snapshot.

> he enables JS by default

Ungoogled chromium?
That's what I've been using and I'm chilling with it

Unused ram is wasted ram

qutebrowser is decent if you're an autist who's okay with memorizing 30 billion keybindings just to open a webpage
