what tool is this?

Yes, windirstat is actually a port

baobab / gnome-disk-usage

How do you have anything that big with that many drives?

Attached: Untitled.png (1920x1170, 2.69M)

mm, look at those 900GBs of mp3s

Attached: file.png (1520x534, 1.52M)

What do you mean?
That 190GB zip file?

Yes. You have 3 other blocks that look larger than a Blu-ray too.

Behold, 1.7 million files, 4030GB of used space.

Attached: WinDirStat.png (1918x587, 1.35M)

What do you do, back up Jow Forums pictures?

25 years worth of movies, vidoes, software, games, music and backups etc

>Why yes I do have autism, how could you tell?

Oh those are virtual machine disks, 50GB each.

>Or whatever is your unix equivalent.

windirstat is a ripoff of KDirStat
an 18 years old (!) KDE app for Linux

windows is truly a pathetic environment

what does this mean, i am not familiar with this program, explain in brainlet terms pls

He has laid out the files on the disk by size and type.

>windirstat is a ripoff of KDirStat
No ripoff. The WinDirStat project is transparent about this, and KDirStat is open source (GPL 2) for anyone to publicly fork

>an 18 years old (!) KDE app for Linux
Age of a project is not a metric in itself and does not support the argument you're trying to make

>windows is truly a pathetic environment
Non sequitur. Shame on you, user.

Windirstat is really slow, WizTree is much faster.

It is neither theft or financial exploitation to publicly fork an open source project

From one Linux user to another - grow up

both of them are clones of an even older program called sequoiaview

win.tue.nl/sequoiaview/

not today CIA

It sucks when your netbook only has 2GB of RAM and a 32-bit OS to work with.

>both of them are clones of an even older program called sequoiaview
total lie

>SequoiaView 1.3 was launched November 2002
KDirStat for Qt3 begun in 2001 [1] and there probably was an earlier version for Qt2

>It is neither theft or financial exploitation to publicly fork an open source project
learn what a fork is

>rip-off noun
>2: a usually cheap exploitive imitation
windirstat is by definition a rip-off of KDirStat

>learn what a fork is
You're right, but this is not helping your case. WinDirStat isn't a fork, it's a rebuild, to perform the same function on a different OS.

>windirstat is by definition a rip-off of KDirStat
KDirStat is not making any money that WinDirStat would steal away from them. Both are FOSS projects, and neither exploitive imitations of one another.

what the hell am I looking at?

wiztree can't scan multiple drives in one go, tho

I need more HDD space

Attached: files.png (1920x1040, 2.76M)

you might want to run compact.exe on those psd files, oftentimes photoshop saves them without any compression

docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/compact

What does it matter if scanning each drive is 1000000x faster?

you can't put all drives on a single treemap

Literally why would that ever matter?

seems to matter ITT

So not useful at all is what you're saying.

to see total disk usages???

it is the literal focus of this thread and wiztree can't do it

So literally just for comparing e-peen squares instead of doing anything useful with the software?

no, learn to read, only version 1.3 was released in 2002. the first version was released in early 2001, which kdirstat was heavily inspired by and even used their algorithms

>We would like to thank the following people:
>All the people at the TU Eindhoven who worked on SequoiaView that gave us the inspiration for including treemaps in KDirStat and numerous papers describing the algorithms behind it.

By the way, that entire top left corner is Battlefield V on a 240GB SSD.

wiztree is better for pretty much all uses besides the use that the thread you are currently posting is specifically fucking dedicated to. i'm glad we can come to this understanding

All of my anime merged with overlayfs

Attached: Screenshot from 2019-09-15 20-22-12.png (1920x1053, 774K)

Glad we got that cleared up

I'm all outta space. I have to delete things when I download something new.

Yikes, if you're already out of space with TV releases how are you gonna delete them and replace with BDs?

ahhhh yeh

what is it?
WHAT IS IT?

a hunter-destroyer machine

its really annoying honestly, its the slow little buildups over time that are eating my ssd space
i only have a 120gb ssd, it used to sit at 90gb free, now it shows 70gb free
fucking vista

a lot of that is a few games and some music, but why do i even have a hibernation file...

Who the fucks uses windows vista in this age?
