Camden Rogers
What's wrong with that answer, you got what you asked for.

>can't put together a complete Windows installation by just installing chocolatey packages into a chroot
>can't even chroot on Windows in the first place
What's the point
Nathan Williams
deprecated/considered harmful
based, red pilled
Lucas Morales
Well the point of chocolatey in my opinion is to be this center place where you can update and download, install exe files without needing to go to a website.
Landon Martin
Another package manager, has a more limited selection of programs, but just works, is how I'd describe it
github.com
Asher King
How is it deprecated & harmful do you have any proof of that.
Thomas Torres
deprecated/considered harmful is a Jow Forums meme
Landon Moore
It has mpv.net, which chocolatey does not have.
Jackson Walker
Isn't that closed source?
Liam Stewart
Nope. mpv.net is free and open-source under MIT license.
github.com
Logan Ortiz
>It has mpv.net, which chocolatey does not have.
Are you sure about that?
Mason Jones
Choco is pretty phenomenal.
I’ve converted a few lame ass MSI’s (Installshield, yuck) to this nuget/powershell.
A legit package manager has been missing from Windows until now.
Robert Rogers
I think what your looking for is task scheduler user
Jeremiah Sullivan
Yes, I am. Your image is ironically proof of that. Those are packages for regular mpv, not the mpv.net frontend.
Ayden Hall
It's literally an abreviation for packagemanager.
Eli Perry
why would I need a package manager for windows?
Eli Collins
Why would you choose to spend time looking for a download over simply typing in the name of the program and having it installed for you?
Leo Jenkins
ps. you can update everything with a single command
Joshua Carter
Lucas Allen
