Why no startups to disrupt the personal defense industry?

Gee, idk, maybe because of the police state we live in?

Military industrial complex my friend - military contracts are corrupt and are largely awarded on the basis of lobbying and old boys networks. The exception is things that are high tech that the military industrial complex can't do well, like DARPA contract awards but you'd need a few PhDs or lots of specialized experience to be able to have the wherewithall to bid for those

Like Black Water?
Parker Scott
Why don't we have lasers that can shoot down flies in your home?
Ethan Hernandez
Juan Stewart
it can blind people
i dont know why we dont have tiny pneumatic salt cannons that fire tiny pellets and just wreck flies though.
Eli Mitchell
We do, but it's too expensive and elaborate to bother with mass manufacture
Ethan Powell
The government is actually legally obligated to give a certain percentage of their contracts to small time businesses.
This has resulted in some fuckery in the past, because most smallfry simply do not have the capital to fill most contracts. There's a pretty amusing movie (War Dogs) about a couple of guys that ran a company called AEI that filled weapon contracts for the US military. What the movie leaves out though is that AEI actually failed to fill a bunch of contracts in addition to using illegal means to fill other contracts.
Landon Diaz
You could make it so that they only fire if they have landed on a flat surface of one color.
Jaxson Bailey
We have bug zappers that attract the flies to them and then kill them. In addition to being simpler and cheaper, this scheme also puts all the dead bugs in one place.
Carson Rogers
That was a crane fly. They eat mosquitoes. Good going.
Nathaniel Cook
No that's a close-up of a mosquito. I remember reading something in make magazine about a device that kills *only* mosquitoes with lasers by detecting the frequency of the whine any nearby bug gives off. This was a DIY project too, and years ago.
Eli Allen
I see. Impressive. I'm still more inclined to use something that attracts the mosquitoes to it, because then the dead bugs all collect in one place.
Julian Cox
bot
Jose Jenkins
The only reason is because it's illegal.
I personally would be selling $20 plastic handguns and airdropping them over Europe, but the fuckers in charge will drone me if I do.
Aiden Thomas
Badminton is popular outside the US
Andrew Ross
Not gonna work
Jason Reyes
the plan isn't to have it zap everywhere, only the perimeter of what you want mosquito-free
Kevin Gomez
War isn't mainstream anymore.
Carter Roberts
They will start to learn to not going to that perimeter.
At my room, I once start killing the flies once they go near my desk (I have that Electric flyswatter) and over the period of a month, they start to learn to not go near my desk, but the door area which the opposite direction.
Hudson Miller
>mosquitoes learn to completely avoid your house because it's encapsulated by a mosquito killing laser defense system
What is the issue again?
Jordan Rogers
There's one. It's called ISIS/DAESH
Chase Robinson
But it doesn't go that way, they hide IN your house (or room as what they did to me) and bother you when you're not paying attention, pic related
Jayden James
"no"
Joseph Richardson
just get a uv zapper, or a raid mosquito killing evaporator
John Morgan
personal defense is illegal outside the us and in the us you have guns so what is there to create kek
Carter Jones
>people will say this post isnt Indian.
Joshua Smith
>a crane fly. They eat mosquitoes
wrong
Hunter Hill
Jason White
>tiny pneumatic salt cannons
i'm ready for this tech
Mason Roberts
What is with the copper washers, is it a shaped charge?
