What password manager does Jow Forums use?
What password manager does Jow Forums use?
The same password for everything.
Imagine being such a brainlet that can't memorize his own password
A textbook
I have a txt file within a pass protected zip file
I use Google Chrome browser
KeepassXC + Syncthing
ibrain beta
Pen and paper, hidden in a book in my library. If someone manages to break into my house and find it I have bigger problems.
Using ANY form of password manager program is completely retarded.
This
dashlane
writing your passwords in a book is completely retarded
I'll wait patiently for you to give a reason why
Not the one you're replying to but portability, you can't access all your passwords if you're not at home
you can't see the obvious reason because you're completely retarded
Oubliette for Win. Werks on Win 7 & is the most secure one.
Riveting comeback mate, really got me there!
Why are you accessing things whilst outside of your house though? What's something you need to login into when you're away from your phone or PC? Rather, how are you accessing anyway?
I have a system that from a web domain gets two numbers, then I search on the Bible and use the first 16 characters that are cyphered to get the password
cool, now you know how much of a retard you are. take care
Jokes aside, still not seeing the issue.
passwordstore.org
Why did it take so long for anyone to mention the only Jow Forums-approved solution?
>password manager
brainlet lole
>Jow Forums-approved
Cringe. I use it because it's good.
I tattoo my passwords on the inside of my eyelids. Hurts like hell, but I know I will never lose them
Keepass(XC)
Based
My brain
my head
based
1Password cause multiplatform (4 devices)
Most of them are multi platform, though.
Unironically, a legal pad.
Someone even made an app for pass repos on android
>not having a photographic or eidetic memory
>in fucking 2019
Just create your passwords based on some method like "Service name" + "color of the logo" + random 4 digits pin that you can safely write onto a piece of paper cuz it's only a partial password
I memorize all my passwords
KeePassX
default firefox save password thing
LastPass because it just works
>having a memory
>in 2019
my brain is completely liquid
Common Penishole BDSN
gopass / pass
Basically gpg+git, easily self hosted, useful.
keypass + drive
Don't know my passwords and don't care because that's not something i should have to think about
Hey, how's it going lol
My own one
#include
#include
using namespace std;
int main() /* DeclaraciƧon de strings y primer input de datos*/
{
string user;
string pass;
cout
I memorize them
Bitwarden
>Why are you accessing things whilst outside of your house though? What's something you need to login into when you're away from your phone or PC? Rather, how are you accessing anyway?
t. never left mom's basement
any particular reason to use keepassxc over keepass2?
If you're using an OS incompatible with KeePass 2. That's it.
Bitwarden or Keepass
Keepass2
This motherfucker never had a social life or a job.
I tried Bitwarden, Lastpass, Dashlane, Enpass, and shit from antivirus like Avira, Bitdefender and Panda.
I stayed with Enpass, but if you want a free service pick Bitwarden.
>Lastpass is shit and with tons of bugs.
>Dashlane is expensive as fuck, why the fuck do I need a VPN?
>Antivirus password managers looks like they're made by a retarded intern. Fuck you Avira.
>Bitwarden is awesome, but it requires yearly payment for some nice features
>Enpass requires you buy it once per platform (Windows, Android, iOS...).
Enpass is the best because it's only one payment, the data is stored in your device and then synced using the cloud service you want (Onedrive, Google Drive, etc.) and it has all the features of Bitwarden, including TOTP. Also it looks great on Windows 10, it supports Windows Hello and has dark theme.
Storing passwords in something that's easy to access and preserve like a book is a huge security flaw. If an attacker were to steal it they could easily guess what its contents are used for and they will very likely keep it for further examination (which means you will lose important information that you'll never gain back if you forget). Once they figure out the book's purpose as a logging tool then it's only a matter of time before they use other external sources of info to find shit like your club penguin subscription. They've already got the easy part taken care due to your laziness.
Password managers have an YUGE advantage because they aren't physical, can be distributed elsewhere safely to an offsite location out of harms reach, can be encrypted to prevent reading stolen info, provide additional layers of integrity with digital keys and much more. You refuse to use & maintain a proper digital database over fucking toilet paper scribblings and u should feel bad 4 that. u butt
Based eidetic-memory-bro. This stuff was staple back in Greek and Roman times.
so enpass is just keepassxc but you pay money to use it?
This
BITWARDEN NIGGERS
A pen and notebook, like a normal individual. The notebook is actually a diary, it has a small lock on it because as a true gentleman it is all the security I need.
Chrome
a brain/textbook
KePassXC to store my darkweb passwords/fake accounts and for the clearweb i just use the same password everywhere
Bitwarden for ease of syncing.
Enpass is closed source. That's an immediate fail when it comes to password managers.
Pass, QtPass, and a private BitBucket repo
Linkeks don't get keepass 2.
and the metadata (i.e. account names)?
functionial brain cells 1.0
my brain. it's not hard to remember different passwords
I GO INTO THREAD TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THING I DISLIKE THAT OTHER PEOPLE LIKE
absolute state of this board
also, I do not use a manager yet but I would love some recommendations.
so you remember things like 1b(#nU-Z?,LAl
>Using ANY form of password manager program is completely retarded.
What are you doing on this board?
Your mom
It's in there too. Pass handles all of it.
Free or Paid version?
Which and why, what benefits does the paid version provide over free?
Also bitwarden selfhost best option.
That's not what I meant. I'm using pass myself, but I'm hosting the git repo on my own rasperry pi, not on Github or Bitbucket.
What I meant was: Bitbucket now knows all your accounts.
>Bitwareen requires yearly fee.
No it doesn't?
Selfhosted requires nothing but your own server and setting it up properly.
Don't believe this niggers everyone uses chrome's password manager because it's easy and secure.
none, I have my own memory and fingers, thanks
also, I create all my passwords based on the site or software, with a little mnemotechnic of mine, so I just have to remember just that
I've been looking for a manager these days, thank you user, saved me some money.
none
nowhere near as secure as a randomly generated 20 character string
This
I had this idea recently, to just have a single password that you concatenate with the site name. Then you make a hash and base encode it. That way I would have a hard-to-crack password that's different on every site, but only had to remember one.
The only limitation would be the need for coreutils.
plain text file in a veracrypt drive
self hosted bitwarden
There is something similar on fdroid, I believe.
>"just werks" tier
KeePass
Bitwarden
Piece of Paper
Text Document / Spreadsheet encrypted or on Offline Device
>Meme Tier
Correct Horse Battery Staple
>Shill Tier
LastPass
1Password
>"What the hell are you doing" Tier
Text Document / Spreadsheet in Plain Text on Main Computer
Google/Firefox or other Browser Password Managers
Apple Keychain / Samsung Pass
Password Manager provided by Antivirus Software
>Beyond Saving tier
Same password for everything
Lastpass. It's pretty comfy. I only use it for my disposable accounts though.
>Password Manager provided by Antivirus Software
i'd honestly put this in beyond saving tier. i don't think I've ever heard of anyone ever doing this sort of thing before
QWERTY card seems good
LastPass is normie-tier but comfy, KeePass(X)(C)(Droid)(wtf) is FOSS and cross-compatible, but syncing it becomes a separate task. this dude has it figured out, it seems.
thanks a lot user. didn't know about syncthing but i'm probably going to use it now as my main data sync
M Y BREAIN
not that user but let me give you an example. you are on your way to go shopping and use your phone for mobile payments. for some reason, android decides to log you out of your banking app that you're using for nfc payments. you use a super complex password that you don't know by heart. what now?
>no keepass in the lkst
gochujinsama password
>paying for a password manager
absolute fucking retard
self hosted bitwarden
If you're not using KeePass or KeePassXC (non-cloud based password managers) then you're a literal nigger with a 30 IQ and you should be euthanized to prevent your genes from spreading.
