Only (reliable) way to code for iOS, and the battry life is genuinely good on their laptops which is nice in a business setting. Thats about it though.

1. good audio drivers
2. consistent and well thought out UI
3. no garbage like ads, nagware or broken updates like on Windows 10 (some updates break stuff, just less often)

xcode and ios app dev, apple forces you to use a mac and it is actually easier to set up for dumb people, like 50% of the cs students using windows at my university can't get fucking java working in the console, mac and linux no problem. It should not be that hard to set a path variable, but for most people it is too hard. (sorry for bad english, not native)

In addition to what has already been said, it's just good marketing. Apple overprices their machine and use that extra cash on advertising the shit out of their products. Also, people often said that it used to be better, at least in comparison to the competition at the time. So, some people just didn't get the memo.

Highest quality, most stable OS on the market with clean, clear, and coherent GUI unlike Windows and any DE for linux. Outside of the GUI you have a fully POSIX compatible, Unix certified operating system full of open source software.

Uh? No. Osx's filesystem was NOT as locked down as it is right now by default. You could do a lot more of backtracing of the environment, mem, etc back then. Now it's just a shoebox, not unlike windows 10.

The aluminum body is the heat sink. It actually works as a heat transfer, unlike a cheap plastic windows device.Never had any of the other problems occur with my macbooks.

It's the only operating system that does DPI Scaling relatively well and also the single one that actually can manage multiple colourspaces at the same time. You can have DCI-P3 content alongside sRGB websites and everything is properly displayed.

MacOS is also posix compliant like Linux, but with actual commercial support which means you have your software and don't need to rely on "close but not quite there" alternatives.
