I use pic related.
1 for a 27" main display and 1 for a vertical 24" vertically.
went for whatever looked the sturdiest.
they are very nice, good for cable management and have given me so much desk space, it's very freeing.
I used to, but I found it to be annoying in the long term.
It was a really shitty model that wasn't very smooth to move, and I was always fucking around with it to get it where I wanted it to be.
It also didn't provide enough flexibility for where my monitors were relative to each other.
It would've been fine with a much better model, but I didn't feel like sinking even more money into it and just went back to the stock monitor stands.
im actually looking at a Vivo Quad. I plan on using the three lower for my main work pc, prolly wont use the top. It was given to me when I mentioned I wanted to try using one. Monitor arms are making more sense to me, more than these Allsop steel riser shelves I'm using now.
That's what I imagine. What is their freedom of movement like? Is it time consuming to adjust positions?
Monitor arm for one monitor setup makes no sense unless you have a desk made for miniature people.
nope, just push and pull.
I'm always adjusting over time as I change positions during the day.
this but 2 22" monitors. never going back to being a stand-pleb.
I used the amazon ones. I have my cintiq on one and the other is used to support my TV from behind in case it tips a bit
I need my monitor up higher, and rather than invest in some clunky box to put it on, I figure why not just go for an arm.
I don't see how only having one monitor would negate the usefulness of it.
Sounds like a pretty unique scenario if you need your monitor to be so far up you need to tilt your head, most monitors have height adjustment for reasonable positions. But of course if you need it for some unique setup, obviously a monitor arm can be beneficial.
monitor mounts are for sad cases who want to pretend theyre a deus ex NPC, like a real cool gibson hacker.
like i guarantee youre not, fuckin, moving it around like regularly, because youre sat at a fucking desk. so that arm is going to get dusty and squeaky and eventually seize up, and youre going to regret spending money on shit that makes you look cool to imaginary people who wont be using the thing or even see it irl
I have a triple mount plus a single, not a single monitor is aligned properly and they don't align properly, since each one of my monitors is like 30lbs
I can't get something nice that isn't also insanely expensive.
based, deep down everyone knows this is true
the whole point is to give me room on my desk under the monitors
Take a picture and show us what you store under it
speakers, audio equipment, papers, shit like that
>speakers
shit placement
>audio equipment
my receiver is just fine being under a monitor
>papers
clean your room champ
As others have pointed out, aligning the screens, especially on cheaper models, can be a bit of a pain. Still, I love using them.
You get 3 of the amazon $100 single monitor mounts, I do this with heavy monitors and it works just fine. They're apparently a really good copy of a more expensive model.
>shit placement
they're too big to go anywhere else
>my receiver is just fine being under a monitor
I don't use big clunky A/V equipment
>clean your room champ
fuck you I've got projects and shit in progress
>like i guarantee youre not, fuckin, moving it around like regularly
But I do exactly that. Either way the the saved desk space still makes it worth it
These are the big heavy CCFL monitors from the earlier days, trust me nothing cheap is going to hold them level
I use a North Bayou F80. Pretty good for $20.
They have other models too.
My monitor doesn't have a VESA mount
>I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about
Why do people do this? Just post stupid comments about things that they've never used?
Use a dual one, I just bought the cheapest off brand I could find
Mine neither, search for you monitor model + vesa adapter
I use pic related. It's an AmazonBasics arm, based on the Ergotron LX, so it's a well-built piece of kit.
In my case, I happen to be legally blind, so being able to have my monitor floating just above my keyboard is a godsend. I wish I had gotten one of these arms years ago. I also often have a MIDI controller keyboard on the desk at the same time as my regular keyboard and mouse. The arm makes it so easy to shift between the MIDI setup and traditional mouse and keyboard. Also, the ability to make small adjustments in height, tilt, fore and aft positions comes in wicked handy during a long day of editing.
What's a good arm for a triple aorus ad27qd setup ?
I have a corner desk and wouldn't be able to latch on to one of the desk edges to reach my monitors without the arm being like 3ft long and stupid looking.
imagine being so autistic that you can't imagine a scenario that someone else in the world wants a nice clean look for their peripherals by raising their monitors.
must be one hell of a ride you're on buddy.
Okay, it's settled. I will contribute to the enslavement of humanity by giving $100 to Amazon.
Thanks for the recommendations anons.
yeah just like I knew before you even answered it, no picture will be provided
I need one to hold a LG43UD79, its not super heavy, not much worse than some heavy 32's its just big.
16kg i think.
I heard uh.. Apple sells a nice one? Should fit you great OP
