It's going to get there in a few years. Eventually all computing devices are going to converge to become one thing. Tablets are already basically redundant as phones and laptops tend towards each other. There'll be a place for desktop computers for some time yet but eventually they'll be deprecated for all except the most high end power users as everyone carries around a device in their pocket that can power 99% of applications, and cloud processing becomes a thing.
