Why are you not compiling with LLVM, user?

ur mom

because stallman said it violates my freedom

Stallman also said rape victims deserve it.

You need to go back, and take your fake news with you.

He wasn't wrong user

Because it's hot garbage.
>API generates invalid IR every single time
>IR changes incompatibly every single bugfix-patchlevel
>documentation always out of date
>still slower than g++
>crap primitives for languages not backed by C idioms

FUD.
If it was that bad, Opensuse, FreeBSD and other systems wouldn't be built with it.
>GNU fanbois are getting desperate

They aren't
>butthurt llvm tranny logic

>llvm tranny
Just because GNU's full of trannies, doesn't mean LLVM has them at all.

Seethe.

I was glad when this project came about in the first place and made things competitive.
I'm glad now that they're still working hard, and continuing to innovate.

Adacore hasn't released the Ada LLVM frontend yet. Supposedly they are making an announcement about it soon (tm). I'd imagine it'll be using LLVM 8.x tho.

I think pedo RMS apologists should stop using Jow Forums and live in the woods.

clang is fucking based, fuck GNU
I'm getting closer to say fuck off to Red Hat Linux and go FreeBSD, but it probably doesn't even support my fs lmao

Dragonfly makes a better desktop, with good gpu support and proper SMP implementation which differentiates it from FreeBSD and Linux. It does however use GCC.
The most annoying shortcoming is that it has no Linux compatibility layer.

What is LLVM and why is it better than whatever I already use?

Both statements arent contradictory

(Thats not what he said tho)

>The most annoying shortcoming is that it has no Linux compatibility layer.
Why would you need this? That's only useful for proprietary software.

Just noting it.
To me, it means no steam gaymen, mainly.
Which is fine because I do the gaymen stuff on a machine that's pretty much dedicated to that.

>license changed to apache
OPENBSD BTFO
go back to GCC hahahhahahah

goddammit
now i have to recompile
it takes so goddamned long to compile
why they can’t just provide precompiled native windows binaries for all their libraries is fucking beyond me
the c APIs are limited and not an actual substitute for the C++ libs

Does it help the industry produce proprietary compilers?

operating system that includes all the tools to build from source.

I compile my android kernel with it.

he never said that

anyone using it as a compiler back end?

>can compile linux
GCC on suicide watch

Really gets the noodle goin, eyy Bert?

>Support for asm goto, enabling for example the mainline Linux kernel for x86_64 to build with Clang
I thought the big issue was variable-length arrays in the middle of structs rather than the end or some other GNU extension like that.

Yes he is correct. But only when its women getting raped.
