Yeah active inclusion would be nice, but so would being born into a rich family. This shit has been getting me more and more upset lately to the point that it kind of surprises me. They're shitting all over so many people that don't deserve it. But it's the developer community's fault, even if resisting gets you called a Nazi (being treated differently because of the color of your skin or because of what's between your legs sucks, but deal with it like everyone else has been for like ever). I'm currently taking a college course in open source software development and it's like a third women, two white guys in the entire room. I'm hoping the topic comes up. Might be the only time I'd be grateful for being a minority so they can't just write me off. Hell, I'd even say I'm currently questioning my sexual orientation because of that one weird dream I had years ago. I'd love for someone to proverbially spit in my face for being welcoming and treating them like a regular human being just because I don't care enough about their issues.
