i'm new around here, only have avistaz and jpopsuki
Caleb Parker
gonna take the bait on this one why?
Ethan Kelly
They're commie indoctrination camps. Ironically, rutracker represents the ideals of freedom more so than nearly every other tracker right now.
Ryder Powell
Is there a single decent torrent client for windows? >transmission no labels >deluge shit ui and memory leaks >utorrent closed source adware >qbittorrent still has pic related bug
>qbittorrent >still has pic related bug This never happens to me so QB is my go to client.
Aiden Evans
stalled is not a bug, it's a misconfiguration
Jason Morgan
Are the people who post the stalled meme brain damaged? I have never once seen them troubleshoot or elaborate. Only complain and not get things to work because they didn't try.
Also, install automation software. You shouldn't be interacting with your torrent client at all.
Brayden Torres
Happened to me with three different torrents today. They were downloading for a while, then suddenly stopped and went into stalled state. It fixed itself after a few minutes but it's still annoying. What do I need to configure so it doesn't happen anymore?
Ayden Robinson
>It fixed itself after a few minutes What was the issue?
Charles Gomez
We all start off somewhere
Jace Long
>They're commie indoctrination camps. Ironically, Private trackers are Trumpian in nature. Stay out!
Nolan Long
>I have never once seen them troubleshoot or elaborate. I tried starting and stopping the torrent, I tried a force reannounce. Idk what else to do, it would take ages trying every single setting. I'm sure someone must've figured this out by now, right? >Also, install automation software. Why? I don't watch airing TV shows, and I don't trust a piece of software to decide which release of a show or movie is the best. What's the benefit of searching for something in an automation software and clicking download as opposed to doing literally the same on the tracker website?
All I know is after a few minutes the torrent finished downloading. I didn't stare at my client the whole time. But still, it should've taken no more than a few seconds, not several minutes.
Dylan Wilson
On my qBit I had to disable disk pre-allocation
Jose Lewis
Oh look another one. Stopped downloading at 99.9% despite there being 3 seeders. Occasionally a peer with 0% progress appears in the peer list for a few seconds but that's it.
Options -> Downloads -> Pre-allocate disk space for all files? That's already disabled.
Automation doesn't refer to that, it refers to just putting a .torrent in a folder and it will download the file. This is helpful when you have a large number of torrents. If you were on linux, I'd recommend using transmission since you can have a nice clicky gui for when you have 10 torrents, but also interact with it on the command line when you have 1000, and set up the kind of automation. You can make it so that the torrents that are downloaded are sorted into folders based on which trackers they are from, which makes pointing .torrents to their files very easy.
Although that brings me to a question, what do you lot do with your torrents, where do you keep your .torrents, and downloaded files? I'm thinking of something like .torrents in ~/.torrents/.torrent/files.torrent and the actual files in ~/.torrent/files/tracker/file.extension, and then creating symlinks to e.g. ~/music or something. Do you do something like this or not?
Anthony Clark
Private tracker cucks.
Hudson Mitchell
I don't usually deal with large numbers of torrents. Putting a torrent file in a folder isn't really more convenient than just double clicking it and hitting OK on the dialog that pops up. I do use autotorrent for cross seeding though. My .torrents go wherever my client puts them, I think somewhere in %appdata%. Downloaded files go in D:\Torrents\. I used to make hardlinks to D:\Movies and D:\TV etc but I realized it's pointless because I always just search for the files instead of browsing the folder.
Brody Edwards
Usenet chads.
Luis Ward
about fucking time the faggots on red realized those autosnatching faggots have been fucking the economy since day 1
Leo Hernandez
seethe more retard
Nathan Cruz
>orph lol
Parker Nelson
>failed the red interview
John Bailey
xd
Grayson Cox
>Usenet chads. I use both trackers and indexers but I get 90% of my stuff from indexers. I don't pay a dime.
Nicholas Anderson
if u upload a fatass flac and let them autosnatch it then stop seedin and let torrent get pruned, u can just reupload again and again and get infinite ratio farming them xd
Eli Thompson
autosnatch retards will put you on a blacklist and the leeching goes on
Brody Rodriguez
RED's staff should realize their tracker has geniune problems instead of nuking threads.
David Garcia
theyre the ones who set the tracker up. they're well aware of the situation
Wyatt Davis
they are very well aware of the problem, but im pretty sure they are making money off of the situation so they have no incentive to fix it.
Tyler Phillips
and yet another thread on the subject was removed without any explanation from staff. not even trashed, removed
Landon Thompson
what problems?
Austin Wilson
autosnatchers are pump and dumping too much and they have rigged the entire economy to serve their botted up buffer hoard of shit that they are never going to use. it's a joke, and it's been a joke for a long time
Christian Anderson
The most bizarre thing is that autosnatcher leeches don't serve the tracker at all. they have by far the MOST buffer 1) by doing absolutely nothing but set up a seedbox and auto-dl script , doable within a few hours, and 2) are actually hurting the quality of the tracker: no long-term seeding, no uploading themselves, discouraging genuine users that put a lot of effort into uploading. just leeching off of the effort of others. can't make this shit up desu.
Nicholas Sanchez
autosnatching is fine for movie and tv trackers because the file sizes are large and i dont want to spend 3 hours downloading something. no one needs this autosnatching absurdity for music, its just a buffer hoarding game. its mostly about the file sizes, the larger the file size, the more time it takes to download, the more chance a normal connection has to connect to a leech. music is like 100-300mb and these autosnatching seedboxes are ass slamming leeches with upload
Isaiah Watson
>autosnatching is fine for movie and tv trackers because the file sizes are large and i dont want to spend 3 hours downloading something. yeah, that's a proper use case for autosnatching. RED autosnatchers don't do it because they actually want the music but only to make a plethora of buffer
Ethan Nguyen
given how it gets nuked every time i'm sure at least someone at red is getting kickbacks from andy10g
You're free to not use them, therefore what you're saying is incorrect
Jaxson Barnes
im convinced of that too. why the fuck would they keep allowing this if they aren't making money off it? why aren't they trying to make uploading more of a reward than setting up some filters and botting the shit out of your account? its so fucking stupid.
Chase Scott
I'm actually surprised /ptg/ seems to be against those autosnatching niggers. If I didn't know better, I'd suspect y'all to be the first to exploit the system.
Benjamin Lopez
im not sure what happened but about a year ago there were far more people defending autosnatching in here. i dont know why or how it flipped, maybe they all stopped autosnatching once they buffered the shit out of their accounts and realized how fucking pathetic they are
David Clark
You can exploit it and find it fucking stupid
I've uploaded 2019 crap just to get buffer and it's retarded It's probably deleted for being unseeded now
Jonathan Miller
Where can I learn video encoding like they do in private trackers? I know some trackers have some guides, can you kind anons post them
Hudson Diaz
ptpimg is down what a surprise!
Carson Hernandez
guide.encode.moe/ Learn from weebs, scene and p2p encoders are garbage.
The channel is public, you might need to register with nickserv
Hudson Gomez
No i can access the channel, but I cant access the forum they link to because I dont have an AHD account
Samuel Bailey
Yes, but that didn't help. The issue ended up being that some of the files were read only for some reason and qbittorrent decided the best course of action in that case is to simply stall the torrent and do nothing to inform the user of this issue. I later found out that qbittorrent has a log file where it logs such errors. A notification or some kind of error message within the program itself would've been too helpful I guess.
Carter James
The absolute state of windoze users
Hudson Hughes
nice.. maybe they will give me a account then
Gabriel Myers
it just means that the torrent has no seeders or that they arent connectable
Dylan Parker
get an ahd account then
Evan Foster
Yes, clearly if I used Linux qbittorrent would magically not be shit and tell me why the fuck the torrent is stalled. There were seeders and they were connectable. qbittorrent just stopped downloading after it finished downloading all the files it could write to.
Kayden Peterson
its not that good. you pay for it and they usually have no standards. they use hacks to find encrypted posts from usenet and are often missing nfos and/or thumbnails. private scene trackers always have the whole release with correct file names and everything else that should be in it.
i do use qbittorrent on linux and have never had any problems with it. got almost 1000 torrents in it and more gets added automatically every day.
Ian Ramirez
I do use private trackers. They are inherently restrictive due to being private. There's pros and cons, but the mongoloid russians are straight to the point as far as I'm tracking and the only thing they care about is sharing quality torrents. If there's a mistake or a bad upload someone will call it out and get it fixed.
Oliver Gray
To be fair it is not the most common use case but I still think errors like this should be displayed to the user instead of just being written to the log file. I had a torrent with multiple files in it, all but one of which I already had on my hard drive. For some reason these were read only. When I added the torrent to qbittorrent, it rechecked to like 90% and downloaded the missing file. Then it stalled with one piece left, because this piece is both part of the new file as well as one of the existing, read only files.
Jason Rodriguez
it sure should.. even if just something simple like error, check log for more info. maybe you should do a bug report about it
Evan Ward
Thanks, I'll do that
Samuel Wood
No I like this trend
Jose Smith
I use qbitorrent for years and NEVER had a single "stalled torrent" issue >t. linux mint user
Parker Adams
Well, stalling is probably the right thing to do if it doesn't have write permission to the file, and would probably happen on linux as well. My only issue is that it's making it harder to figure this out than necessary.
Juan Jones
Is U2 where all the anime BDMVs get uploaded now, even the English ones?
Elijah Rogers
If redcuck staff gave an shit about the site they'd ban Deluge and restrict the announce channel to elite+ glad i'm going full steam into ORPHEUS NETWORK
Jose Torres
Pretty much, there's also a new chink tracker called skyeysnow
Henry Howard
OPH is basically a ghost town
Brandon Cruz
this is why we should combine the power of our massive flac library to continue to support the site to be the true whatcd success story
Ethan Sanders
to be fair you don't have to get that shit. secondly the clearnet hosts such shit are you a cp-user because of that now? and finally I'm convinced they do something to get rid of that stuff.
even more faggotry and cancer than RED, with 12 people using the site. no thanks.
Cooper Bailey
i should just switch to rtorrent. these transmission segfaults are becoming annoying and it likes to rape the cpu when something is downloading at high speed.
Lucas Rivera
when did beats go from /our guy/ constantly dabbing on staff to a confirmed staff nuthugger?
Wyatt Bell
LMFAO READING THE WHOLE THREAD THIS IS FUCKING HILARIOUS
most people dont care about pirating music anymore because streaming services are enough for them. even less care about some super autistic private tracker.
