Sold my GPU and using the spare one until something faster than 2080Ti comes out.

Was supprised how well this one games at 1080p

Attached: b5621ecf34711979f8e0077acbb79907.0.png (640x576, 86K)

It'll do until the 3950x is available

Attached: HWinfo.jpg (897x731, 157K)

don't know what to upgrade and when :/

Attached: upgrade_questionmark.png (1153x994, 176K)

What resolution/refresh rate is your monitor and what do you use you PC for/what games do you play?

A 3950x would be nice to get, but the 2950X still gets the job done in most cases.

1080p60 for gaming.
i'm waiting for cyberpunk...

Attached: file.png (1024x889, 107K)

Try to find a used 6700K/7700K for a nice upgrade, and also enable the proper XMP on your memory it should be 2666

its actually an RX570 but it shows up incorrect

Attached: specs.png (640x579, 56K)

Waiting for GPU's to come down to a reasonable price but I only have 1080p anyway so I'll get something higher res while I'm waiting for better GPU prices and/or better hardware. I'm diggin' the Gen 4 drives for moving large files around. Replacing the cheapass 128GB with a Sabrent 1TB next month. A 120GB TimeShift backup only takes 7 minutes.

no bully pls

Attached: Untitled.png (1920x1080, 1.11M)

how many of of you actually need more than 6 cores? serious question, do you guys do a lot of encoding or something? what for if you dont mind me asking

One ram stick?

I think the current Ryzen wisdom is 6 cores for unbottlenecked gaming.
And some additional core if you're streaming.

hyperthreading or 6c would have been amazing, but it is what it is and does what I want
desktop's a 6700, 580 8gb, 16gb but not getting much use due to uni

sup

Attached: sup.jpg (973x755, 176K)

I guess things have changed a lot. I play a lot of pre-2013 stuff and my i3-4130 runs them pretty well and Id sometimes stream. The future really is now if cores actually make a difference these days, cool stuff.

tremble in fear...

of having to use this

Attached: 5.png (926x954, 250K)

Phone posting but...

9900k
2080
128gb ram
4gb ssd
5gb hdd
1920x1080 144hz ips

Thinking this future proofs me for at least 3 years which is good, but wasn't very good for wallet...

3900x and rx 560 with 32gb ram master race.

Eh. You actually have to look at the "medium" setting requirement for most games and consider the hardware of all PCs from now to ~5-6 years old to call something the real midrange. Any other claim is just some kind of ego-inferiority-triping people, like you're trying to sell a product you get no money for.

Basically an OCd 4790K and something about as powerful as a 980 is the real midrange. Should run most games back to 2 years old at 1080p medium settings 45-55FPS

Kinda wish I bought the 7700k back in 2017. Was a decent price in Australia as well. Still has Windows 7 support and all I need is 4C/8T cores.
Currently running at 4.9Ghz with a 4.7Ghz AVX. Keeps my fan speeds ~300-600 but I didn't win the silicone lottery and need 1.38v for 5Ghz.
My 2500k rig died, decided to get a new GPU too and this was on sale on ebay for $860 AUD. This thing runs hot, even underclocked and ramping above 50% fan speed is loud. Also the fans "rev" a lot unless they're at 0 or above 40% fan speed, retarded design as by default they try to run at 30%.
Had overclocked the RAM, ran all benchmarks, memtest and tests but within a minute of playing PUBG it crashed.

I have 2 systems:
>I7-3770, 16gb, gtx 1050 ti
>i7-4790, 16gb, gtx 1060 6gb
If i had money i'd go for all AMD system, but second hand intel/nvidia stuff is just too attractive in terms of value at the moment. Also, almost all OEM machines are Intel

That's totally fine user

someone donate me a gpu
i made a mistake thinking current "midrange" was the same as 10 years ago and theres n oway im paying the current prices for them

Attached: tfw.jpg (656x585, 182K)

Just buy 2nd hand 1060 6gb, there's a shitton of them everywhere, and if you're lucky you can get one in the 100$ range

>2600k
>7970
>16GB RAM
This PC is 8 years old now and still kicking it. I don't play games much anymore but it can still do everything I throw at it.

Attached: Capture.jpg (833x774, 100K)

Attached: bottlenecks and fire hazards.png (1024x889, 137K)

i pretty much only play AoE, sven coop and war thunder so i dont need to upgrade at all

Reporting.

Attached: speccy.png (640x1200, 24K)

Had a 3700X, but realized that I was barely using it, sold it for more than I paid for it and bought an 1800X for less than a third of the amount.

Attached: hwinfo.png (640x577, 67K)

How's the chipset fan control on that board now? I nearly bought one but at the time there was virtually no control over it.

more than I really need but I will also probably keep it for 5+ years before I upgrade again

Attached: Untitled.jpg (648x589, 175K)

>CR: 2T
Bruh.
Also I believe you mean some hacker will probably keep it for 5+ years before you upgrade again.

I honestly dont even run any virus protection or anything so whatevs.. had my identity stolen 4 times now so none of it really matters anymore.

10 jews in this thread who are destroying western civilization and the white man
14 fellow white nationalist supporting the white man's company, AMD.

Attached: 2700xgaming7.png (539x518, 123K)

That's a great pc too bad you're stuck with winblows...

I have an Am486DX4-80 too if that makes you feel better.

you think I could run unix on it instead?

there's still no way to control it, but it does keeps the chipset under 55c

Should've bought a 2070S instead desu, but then again the plan is to get rid of the GPU two generations down the line and use the CPU for 5 years.

Attached: hwinfo.jpg (1143x992, 237K)

wth would you by jewvideo? nvidia is ran by jews. AMD is the only company serving the white man and not giving into jewish tricks.

Attached: jer01nov14BAZ.jpg (1500x1054, 122K)

AMD is for poo's....

Old build after switching GTX 770 for a 1080 Ti.

New build with the same case and CPU cooler.

Attached: new build.png (1279x1197, 152K)

AMD is for the white man. Intel / Nvidia is for jewish destruction of the west.

Still tweaking the 5700XT clocks and voltages, just got it a few days ago.
also still trying to hit 3200 with this 2400 ram without destroying the timings, only 2866 so far.

I ended up stripping parts from an old Alienware for cheap after the owner killed it's mobo.

Still have about 6tb to install once it goes into a better case, using an older HP case lol.

Attached: Capture.png (640x574, 97K)

please consider switching to AMD if you care about the white race. Intel is a jewish company helping bringing the destruction of the white man.

le joo joke XD
If it didn't have the hardware level vulnerabilities I would have sticked with Intel still because I have no brand loyalty. Besides, AMD seems to be riding a tide and I expect support and shit to only become better.

>9820X
why though?

Attached: HW-Info-Pic.png (639x582, 71K)

you should be brand loyal to amd if you care about the white race. intel is a jewish company hell bent on the destruction of whites. amd actually cares about the white man.

Attached: 1489075872717.png (882x758, 246K)

Attached: 1.png (640x577, 63K)

huang and lisa su are related tho

that has nothing to do with the fact nvidia supports the jewish agenda with the destruction of the white man. amd isn't.

If your Zen 2 shows as an engineering sample, download the beta version to fix that.

>If your Zen 2 shows as an engineering sample
The horror.

If you really do have an engineering sample, you got fucked over and need to return that shit ASAP. Samples, as the name implies, are not intended for actual use and they fucking suck.

What are the chances you actually got that? I've never heard of anyone getting that.

>they fucking suck
that depends actually, if the sample is fresh then most likely it's completely the same as a regular stock CPU

Attached: 2019-09-22 105741.jpg (640x577, 120K)

I got a good deal on the i5 just before intel raised prices, unfortunately the shitty gigabyte gpu has the worst coil while i have ever heard

Attached: shitbox.png (640x577, 66K)

>6 threads
I hope you got it for cheap.

3700x + 1080ti
baste as fuck user

3700x
rx 580

Attached: info.png (640x577, 62K)

yeah it was £140, after it went to £200 like one week later so not bad

Best combo right now.

yeah, that model is shit, but I got it for 500€ almost a year ago, and then added a 50€ Artic Accelero Xtreme IV.
Best bang for the buck, second hand 1080 ti and new 3700X with stock cooler.

based amd redpilled

>midrange edition
And everyone with the latest i5 K, i7, i9 and Ryzen 7
BTFO

>BTFO
built to fucking order?

be the first one?

here with the OG 14nm

Attached: og 14nm.png (650x588, 76K)

The 980 ti is from my old build. I'm waiting for the right GPU to pair with my 3900X.

Attached: 3900x.png (1200x605, 488K)

Attached: fetch.png (514x322, 132K)

what do you do with that system?
not like any games / engines work on that thing, so what's the point?

>57:3
you do realize going over 3733 fucks up your ratios and you actually lose speed?

What do you mean? Games run just fine on it.

how do games run on linux? I mean new games

Attached: 1551460521543.png (1160x826, 112K)

For the most part just fine, sometimes you need to tweak some things or some games won't want to run at all but dual booting/proper vms fix that issue.

My fabric clock is OCed to 1900 mhz which is matched to my memory OC of 3800 mhz. There's no performance loss.

what about unity or unreal engine?

Attached: file.png (646x579, 64K)

Based 2700x making a mockery of the 9900k

Unity usually works really well, even have a couple of games that people have ported over from windows to linux. Unreal don't quite know but the epic game store is a shit show on linux but I do have one game satisfactory thats an EGS exclusive that runs great with proton.

sounds good

Greetings friends, I hate jews and women.
